Went to the park last sunday and a charicaturist(person who draws your face at the park) asked my brother if he could practice on him. He said o'kay and after he was done asked if we wanted to buy it. I thought he was going to give it to him, we waited for like 10 minutes and he told us " You can buy it for 15.00", I was so mad. Do you think that it was right our would you have told him to give it too you, just wondering.
Oh please. That is hardly a scam.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
Better question is why did your brother take the time to let the person draw them?
It kind of seems like a trick in order to get you to buy it. "Hey kid I need the practice. Do you want to me to do you? Oh, how do you like what I did. Do you want to buy it?" Maybe if you wasted all that time of him doing a sketch of you, that you might actually want to buy it.

Trick and scam are 2 different things. Sure, the employee talked him into doing the caricature, but it was a way to sell the item thinking that if you saw yourself in art/drawing form, you might be more inclined to buy it. If you don't, the park is out a sheet of paper and some ink. One of those drawings purchased in a day more than covers it on top of making a profit. It's no different then going to a carnival and the prize games carnies keep talking you into winning that prize for your date. It's not a scam. It's an attempt to sell a product. Just because you waited ten minutes doesn't mean you should get the drawing for free. People wait just as long when they pay. I understand you may not have wanted it to begin with but then your brother should have just said no when he asked to practice.
