I joined this forum specifically to ask this question...I'm merely doing my homework to prevent disappointment once I get there.
I've got a trip coming up; we're going Saturday the 23rd.
I'm a portly guy; for comparison, this is how I fared in the not-too-distant past: - I got on Dark Knight and fastened the lap bar with 2 clicks - I barely squeezed onto Magnum XL-200 and Mean Streak - The belt on TTD and MF is short by 8" - The belt on Raptor was 1" short - I can sit in those cheap plastic lawn chairs without a problem, albeit a tight fit - I was on my feet the entire time, minus time for meals, during my last visit to the park on November 1
I love to ride and will be traveling with 2 normal-size friends, and don't want to be the one sitting out all the time. Here are the rides I'd like to get on, that I didn't try last time: - Superman - Viper - Roaring Rapids - Yankee Clipper/Loggers Run - Demon - Whizzer - Revolution - Rue I'm sure there are others I missed. Am I to expect difficulty with these? What other rides might work?

Superman might be ok, there is no seat belt and has plenty of room. Viper, if the seatbelt on TTD was short you might (just barely) be ok on Viper Roaring Rapids- yes Loggers Run- yes Demon- probaly Whizzer- yes Revolution- probaly not, the OTSRs are very small and there is barely any room in the seat (i have a hard time and always get stapled) Rue- yes
I know what you mean about fitting on rides. I'm not big but I am 6' 6". I barely get my shoulders into V2, King Kaos, Giant Drop, Demon. And sometimes I would get denied on dejavu if I didn't slouch when in the station.
Judging by what you've described it sounds like you carry most of your weight in your gut and midsection rather than your chest and higher up. I myself am kinda at the limits of what ride restraints can handle of me, though trying to loose weight though as I'm sure you know, it's not an easy task. However as for your list here's what I think.....
Superman- SFOG opened with small seats with 2 big boy seats, a lot of people didn't fit into the normal seats so that ride was retrofitted with 100% big boy seats and SFGAm's and SFGAdv's were built with 100% big boy seats, so if you got Raptor to within an inch, you should be able to fit. Though before your friends close their restraints get in the seat and pull your OTSR down, you may need a little help pushing down the OTSR but I'm pretty sure you'll fit, they will have to make you fit, the ride op usually wont push the restraint down any further than you can get it yourself due to liability reasons.
Viper- I'm sure you'll fit with little issue, belt may be tight, but they are pretty long, I'd say that's a safe bet, seat is sorta narrow though, probably wont be comfortable or pretty, but you should by all means make it on. (Same goes for American Eagle)
Roaring Rapids is a simple seat belt, though I haven't ridden it in a long time i believe it's still one belt for 2 people, if it's still like that, ride solo in your seat and you'll get in no problems.
Flumes have no restraints. If you physically fit in the log you're good to go. Front seat holds 2 people, back is designed for 3, so I wouldn't sweat that one at all.
Demon is a standard Arrow. I dont think I've ever seen anyone get rejected ever on that. Should give you no problem.
Whizzer has a retractable seat belt designed to go around 2 people and then some. Another easy one.
Revolution- Don't even bother. Seats are very small, restraints have to be 3 clicks down before the ride can run. I myself sometimes get rejected. That will definitely be a no go. (Ditto for King Chaos)
Rue is a standard bumper car, if you ride solo you wear 2 loops that are attached to the pole behind you like a back pack. If you can wear a back pack you're good to go. I'd say that's an easy 100% chance for you to ride.
Hope that helps.

The only rides I would worry about in the park (People have said Revolution) are Superman, and V2. I think V2 might be the worst ride I seen (I don't go on Revolution much). I forget if they have the test chair out for Superman, but you have to have one opening lock in order to ride. Just becauseit closes on the test chair on the last lock doesn't mean you will be able to ride.
If you want to try and ride V2, I would try to go on it right when the park opens because than if you try, and fail, you don't have to wait in a longer line, and than think it's a waste of time.
"I've been staring at the world, waiting. All the trouble and all the pain we're facing. Too much light to be livin' in the dark. Why waste time? We only got one life. Together we can be the CHANGE. So go and let your heart burn bright"
I have problems with V2 and Batman and Demon in the chest. Viper, Eagle don't like my hips very much. So if you have big hips, they might be a little tight. Superman should be no problem because when I go on it, I have no problem even though I have a big chest and hips. Good luck
V2 is INTAMIN. The restraints are basically made for people that have perfectly square up bodies. If you have ANY large portions like thighs, weight, chest, or shoulders you wont be able to fit.
^ yeah like I said, I have a bit of trouble getting on V2 sometimes so anyone sorta like me will have trouble. I saw someone about my weight try to get on and they wouldn't let her.
I'm 6'1 around 300lbs (down from 365 though!) and on Monday I was able to go on Iron Wolf (although it was close, if I would have had lunch first, may have been a different story, lol), and easily went on Dark Knight, Whizzer, and the Demon (as well as the Spacely Rockets) with my 4 year old son.....amazingly, my four year old fell in love with riding the demon...my three year old went on the Whizzer with me, but was a little scared at first, but ultimately enjoyed it quite a bit!
Buddy I dont know if u tried it but if u go be warned of the River Rocker sitting in the middle is ok but once u get into the first row from the center the bar allows no room for a bigger gentleman. That being said I am about the same proportions of this gentleman can i expect to be able to fit on Batman? or the Demon?
