This Friday (22nd of May) I'll be going to Six Flags (Great America) with one of my friends. She and I have been on Dare Devil Dive at least three times... but this time we're going to the park without "parents/guardians" and are both 17. I attempted to call the park to talk to someone to see if I could either a) get (faxed to me) the consent/release form to fill out and bring or b) have my parents right up a consent/release form so that I could go on Dare Devil Dive again. But it's impossible to talk to a HUMAN from SFGA until 3 days after you call... which is too late. Does anyone happen to know if the form is somewhere online (I have failed to find it), if there is an alternative number I could call to actually contact a person, or if getting my parents to write a release form and signing/dating it would be enough?

I've called that number before... It just tells you to leave a message and that they'll respond in three days. I've tried every number I found on their website that was applicable and ones I found on Google/ phone book.
Where did you get the idea you need guardian consent to ride? As long as you meet the height requirement and fork out the dough, im fairly sure you dont need consent to ride.
Because I'm only 17. And every other time I've ridden it I've needed parental consent and release in case of an injury... And last time they did nit-pick over the age issue... I was lucky I had a parent at the park that day.
I've never had to sign anything to ride one. Not saying they dont do that at SFGAm, I havent ridden since 1999, but you could try. If not, tell them you'll go get your parents and come back to the ride. Find a ride with a line and start talking with people around you, I'm sure you'll be able to find someone over 18 who'd be willing to sign and say they are your legal guardian for the day. No matter the case there's always a way around stuff like that, even if you have to throw a few bucks in someones direction.
The real challenge is finding a hotel room at 17
