I am going to start a topic that will be for all the funny things you hear the general public say. I will start by saying that today I heard people say Raging Bull goes 160 mph. One that I hate the most is when people say American Eagle is the oldest coaster in the park.
Last year, I heard "Raging Bull is the tallest coaster in the world!" hahaha
I've heard one mother tell her kid that Raging Bull was the tallest coaster in the world and another say that they used to run BTR backwards.

My Aunt said American Eagle was 200 years old!!

Best one I head was from the same kid (around 10 or so) on 2 different days.
The first was, while in line for the Ragin Cajun single rider lines, she said that Batman - The Ride was 10 seconds long. The next day, the same kid said that the American Eagle feel apart before and was about to do so again in the off season.
That Shockwave was Great America's first coaster.

I've heard so much BS regarding American Eagle that I've lost track for the most part. One I heard is "They replace one board of wood daily". I know I've heard more but I cant think of the rest...
My friend told me that the day before she went there was a guy that fell out of the car on Deja Vu and was hanging on to the track for like an hour. I cant see that happening.

My friend said that he got stuck at the top of Giant Drop and he climbed a ladder all the way to the bottom!?!
Roaring Rapids was SFGAM's first water ride.

I was waiting in line for Eagle one day and I heard someone say "There are man eating piranha's in Roaring Rapids" While it was Blood River during Fright Fest.

While working there, you can't begin to image how many times I hear this: "Why isn't Blue Side open? I want to go Backwards!" and I always say: "Yeah, It hasn't run backwards for years now...." "I've been told that some part of every wish will be heard but lately I lost sight of the truth in those words."
We all laugh when we hear people say this, and each year I do here people say something similar. However, when the park first pulled that stunt (I think it was in 2004 or 2005..don't remember), Gurnee's 911 call center lit up like a Christmas tree, as "concerned" residents called IN PANIC as they thought something was really wrong with STT. There was also reports of people calling the park directly that first night as well asking them if there was something wrong with STT, as they could see smoke coming out of the cabin. All I have to say is this: You know you have a good FF prop when the public calls 911 in response to it!  --Brian

That SFGAm tore down Deja Vu to build the Black Knight (during woods class; it took all I had in me not to walk up to the kid, laugh in his face, and correct him for all of his incorrect facts) The kid then said that SFGAm was going to close for financial reasons, and that he was going to buy Raging Bull and build it in his backyard.
The Mr. Six at the park is REALLY creepy

What did you say? I also heard Hurricane Harbor was going to replace SFGAm as a place for the general public to visit since they were closing all the coasters/rides "in a couple years".

Black Knight? I heard one that pictorium used to be the world's largest simulator ride and that they made it stationary due to mechanical problems......
