^Wasn't that a full sized van though at Great America?

Is that the mini van painted like the mystery machine? If so, you can still see it while ridding the Triple Play every now and again.
If its parked behind the operations office (pass proccessing center) that would be bad the rides people are still using it as their truck. Hopefully OSHA doesnt get a glance at that thing
I just got back from Great America, and it's official: They have added the multiple new themeing elements that were originally going to open with the ride. The van with the clowns turns on a bright light, making it look like it's going to crash into you. They have also added the mist pipes. They have red lights on them, which is a cool effect. They were not spraying mist yet, for some reason. The only problem is that it is much brighter in the building now. They should enclose some of the effects, like they do on most dark rides.

Agreed, light was getting into the preshow room fairly bad above the door to the trains.
You can easily see the Scooby Doo van from the Batman the Ride line. This bus prop is a basically a plastic box with 2 clown faces in the top of it. There are two floodlights that shine on you, and it makes this honking noise. You can hear it in the line, and you can even hear it outside the building.
For the pipes, the whole point of them is for them to be a head chopper (You feel like if you don't duck, something might happen) right before the camera. I liked it better darker in that section.
Some of the cars were running really slow on that ride. I don't know why, but they just were slow as molasses.

Now that its running 10 cars again if theres a slowdown in the station the blocking system bring the cars on the ride course to a stop when they hit a brake and they go slow the rest of the ride.
It didn't seem like it was braking, but it just seemed like some cars were slower. Other cars were going faster though. Maybe, it's because some cars have to break in while the other cars were already running for awhile now. I don't know. They were running 8 cars.
In the station, the ride is messed up sometimes. It doesn't want to leave (Sometimes, they have to push it out a little bit.), or wait until it gets bumped.

/\ Sometimes the cars dont have enough momentum to make it out of the dispatch drive so they need a push, happens pretty often if they stop the cars in the station.
As of today they have also added a multi-color disco ball at the very end of the ride, right after the van with the clowns. This new themeing element also include audio from the end of the movie, right before the credits (Where Jim Gordon explains the title). Also, the "Why So Serious Speaker" is fixed. The cars seen a little bit faster already. The mist pipes now flash on and off, but still no mist.
Yes a can confirm this, too! It was neat to finish off the ride like this. It something better then nothing. One billboard had no lights on. Its location is over the station 2nd turn-around above it. End of day- It's was a walk-on!
There is something different again! For when you go past the clowns (one has a gun towards the police station), the gun turns red, and there are lights (like the lights in station type) that turn on to see them better. The lights turn on, and than fade out. Some cars are still pathetically slow while other ones aren't. The plastic object that has 2 clowns at the end of the ride doesn't even beep the horn anymore, and sometimes it didn't turn on the lights.
Now, do the people like the ride because of the new stuff? Basically, the older people are saying it's boring, and it's not the worth the time, and so on.

Well I went on the 25th and was dissapointed. The fire wasn't working, the top of the pipes weren't lit up so it wasn't much of a headchopper, the van at the end didn't work, but the disco lights at the end were on. The odd thing was that the ride broke down while I was in line (something was on the track) and while they were testing I could hear the horn in the cue. My friends had never been on the ride before and I didn't tell them anything about it. They were dissapointed because the preshow was pretty cool but after all of the anticiaption waiting in line for it to reopen, the ride just wasn't that great. If they can get ALL of the effects working properly, then I think that people will enjoy the ride.

Yeah, I went on the 24th, and the van at the end was TERRIBLE timing. We were about to turn into the station when I looked back and saw it flash and honk. Also, when I rode TDK the first time, it was about a 2 and a 1/2 hour wait, but I got ten rides on it on the 23rd waiting only 5-10 minutes at noon on a Saturday.
poor wolfie rip ( hopewe get a neww bm wingrider for next year!11!
We were there yesterday and there were literally 4 people in the pre-show at around 6. They kept the pre-show doors open until the middle of the movie just to get more people in.
I noticed that when it's colder outside, the Dark Knight is more packed just because it's indoors. Superman was a walk-on, but Dark Knight had a considerable amount of line on that day from a week or two ago.
When it's warmer outside, you should see how the water rides really help the park especially the waterpark. They add so much capacity because when it's 85, people don't usually want to wait in the sun to go on Batman the Ride. They rather go on Roaring Rapids, or Logger's Run to cool down. They also might go on the Dark Knight because of the air condition.
You go on a 70's day right around this time especially on a weekend, and it's going to be more packed because the people don't want to get so cold going on the water rides, or visit the waterpark.

It's the people that didn't go to the park last year that are riding this ride this year. It's also the people that are too cold, or too warm outside. However, there are some people that still like this ride. Not everyone hates it. However, it really should be getting more people than it is as it was last years new ride.
