My favorite food is pizza. The order of pizza in my opinion is this:

1) Suparossa Stuffed
2) Lou Malanatti's
3) Edwardo's
4) Gino's East
5) Pizza Hut Meat Lovers / Veggie Lovers
6) Olive Garden Chicken Alfredo
7) Garibaldi's

There are even more pizzas I like than that.

I definitely don't like Giordiano's, Digiorno, and Celeste. Uno's isn't that great either. Do I like Sbarro? Yes, but it kind of expensive for one slice, and it's below all those. Spinach Stuffed with red sauce is what I like.

There are too many pizza places, and some are just going to have to close.

Glad you like it there. My family owns that place. :) My great grandfather built that little carnival by hand and my grandpa used to do maintenance on it.

not a sbarro fan myself. I've had it at Woodfield and it wasn't that great.

In Orlando there are a lot of free standing Sbarros, they are always good, you can get a whole pizza for pretty cheap and it's always baked fresh when you order it. The mall locations that cook in batches then let it all sit under heat lamps really cant compare.

There are to many excellent pizza places in Chicago and the burbs to list or even pick one favorite one. Remember, pizza is like Sex, even when it's bad, it's still pretty good :)

From what I have been seeing at the malls people wouldn't be crying over Sbarro dying a quick death. Some of their employees are reason enough to shut the franchise down. Good pizza is not THAT hard to find. Besides, pizza is so lame eat something both good AND good for you Subway (Not perfect but better).

Sorry to change the subject but who's eaten Gene's and Jude's. I think it's in Des Plaines and god, they have the best fries! The line at that place can be out the door all day.

Gene and Jude's is an awesome hot dog stand, I'll give any hot dog stand credit for throwing anyone out who want to ruin their hot dog via ketchup. Another good one, though they are gone now is the hot dog stand I grew up with near my childhood house, Grand Dog in Elmwood Park. The place was flat out incredible and always had lines out the door. Then the owner died and the place changed hands and now it's a mexican food/hot dog joint, and it's not even close to the same. The day it closed I lost a really huge part of my childhood. If it was still there I think I'd be a much happier individual. After I moved, I used to drive 45 mins there just for a pair of hotdogs and fries. I remember right after it was grand dog, it changed hands and turned into a place called Da Dog House and they remodeled the inside, I got there, saw the name changed, walked inside, could tell it was totally different and walked right out and drove home. I basically cried for the rest of the day. I think that's how you know you're a true Chicagoan, when YOUR hotdog stand closes up and you know you have lost a huge and important part of your life :)

Also worth noting that is probably the last time I actually cried :D

^That's really sad. My grandparents would always take me to Gene's and Jude's, Hamburger Heaven, or White Fence Farm when I spent the night. It was what I looked forward to all week!

There used to be a really good Pizza place in Bolingbrook called Pizzeria Zia. It was right off of 53, but they shut down almost immediately after they opened. They also had insanely low prices. 5 bucks for a whole large thin crust cheese, exactly like the Little Caesars deal, except it was edible. You can still get good pizza at Papa's and Rosati's.

Also, if you ever happen to be in the New Jersey area, like on the way to SFGADv, make sure to stop at Dino's Italian Hot Dogs in Rockaway. They make true Jersey hot dogs (which if you've ever had them, have little to do with hot dogs. It's basically an Italian sausage, peppers, onions, and marinara sauce in a pizza shell ). They're also beyond delicious.

A few summers back, my step-grandpa introduced me to "raleigh's dogs." Sauerkraut, mustard, and a blackened hot dog. mmmmmm

Haha cool, that's one of my favorite local pizza/ice cream joints. When I was younger I used to love going there just to see that carnival running. I've met Diana (owner) a few times and my dad knows alot of people there since he was a cop for Round Lake Beach for 21 years. It used to be the "cop hangout" when Round Lake Beach had their Police Department across the street. The PD moved years ago but my family still goes there often.

[Off Topic: Hmm, don't know why the quote says Demon_07 when I originally posted that.]

That's in River Grove (Gene and Jude's).

Sbarro sucks a cheetahs dick....

Completely agree though, right now I don't even care if Six Flags went under. I would rather have it just go under right now instead of suffering getting worse and worse. Just shoot the damn dog so it doesn't have to suffer.

I remember the random location at Eastern Il University's Union. Not only did the pizza suck, it was even worse freshly cooked. They did have ok burgers and grilled cheese that was heart attack in bread.
