Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Last night, Stephen Colbert did a segment on the "15 companies that might not survive 2009" article. The second company mentioned was Six Flags. Pretty entertaining although I did disagree with a couple things he said. There were numerous referrences to SFGAm and Gurnee particularly

Oh comeon. You guys live in the Chicago area which is saturated with kickass pizza places and you consider Sbarros good pizza?
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I like Sbarro because it's the closest thing to New York style there is. In my book, it's un-american to eat pizza with a fork.

Giordano's thin crust is decent. Gino's pizza crust is like thick cardboard

Gino's ok, I place them 3rd in deep dish I've had. Sbarro's is absolute crap compared to the za around the city. But Lou Malnati's is my favorite followed by Uno/Due and then Gino's. Giordanno's doesn't even place, it's so bad.

You have to be kidding me...
I work at the Macy's in Hawthorn so I went to Sbrarro once for lunch. It tasted like it had been sitting there all day , and im sure it probably had. I nearly asked for my money back, but I was running out of time on my lunch break, so I tossed it and grabbed Taco Bell.
My Mom and Brother ate at Sbarro in Gurnee Mills once, and had similarly nasty results.
Grayslake has some good pizza places, Pat's on 83 and Italian Ovens on 45 have
great thin-crust pizza.
Olando's in Round Lake Beach has great thick crust pizza, they also have a bunch of Riverview Park memorabilia in there.

That's why you tell them you'll wait for a slice right out of the oven, not 1 from a pie that's been sitting.
