The thing is people who don't usually go to HH or aren't big fans of the water park will once again be unsatisfied with the choice to have nothing important go to the park itself.
Magic Mountain & Six Flags Over Texas (Fiesta? Can't tell difference) are both scheduled to get new coasters in 2010 and 2011 with Texas getting a wooden ride. What about the best park in the chain??? What about Illinois? I still think Hurricane Harbor has more than enough for the time being. It is only open late May through Labor Day. Not worth expanding it now when the park itself has an area in desperate need of work.Does anyone have a good pic of County Fair showing the big dead area where SWF was? Just to get a feeling how much room it really covers...
The thing is, SF obviously can't afford a new coaster for the best parks in the chain every year. SFGAm has already gotten TDK and BB, so I would think that as a cheap way to save money and give us a new attraction, a HH expansion would be the best idea.
Granted, I've never even stepped foot in HH, and I don't really care for it, but it seems like the best fit plan for SFGAm.
poor wolfie rip ( hopewe get a neww bm wingrider for next year!11!
Who said that SFGAm is the best park in the chain? After last season, I'd definitely have to say it isn't their top park, even SFStL was more fun and a better experience than SFGAm. Staffing to foods to friendliness, SFStL beat SFGAm every way. While SFGAm may bring in more money, I would definitely not call it the best park because the experience at SFGAm last year was awful.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
For business and personal reasons (MY experiences) and from what I hear from people this is the best park. Not a ride record holder but I would rather go to this park yearly then MM or Great Adventure.
I dont know, maybe in the past SFGAm was the best park(I'd argue for that), but as of last year much like DanHockey04 says about SFStL, I was at SFGAdv and on a point by point basis SFGAdv won hands down no questions asked on every single point.
Cleanliness, Ride Operations, rides being open and running to capacity, stuff appearing to be well maintained, staff friendliness, ride selection, and even park guests which I know the park doesn't control directly (well they do, but not getting into it). It was simply no contest, SFGAm didn't stand a chance.
And keep in mind last time I was at SFGAdv in 01, it was an utter crap hole which I was just short of vowing never to return to that dump.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
^ "ride selection" Disagree. Coaster selection yes, but overall ride selection no. SFGAdv hardly has any flats except for kiddies, and putting their bumper cars and Musik Express SBNO for the year didnt help that (nor did removing their Zierer Waveswinger).
Also on an unrelated note, SFGAdv needs to work on the implementation of their loose article policy. My friend who was there with me got held up at El Toro because of a fanny pack. Those are definitely supposed to be allowed
We could use a few more flats but I do think we have a good balance. Anyway, I think with all the lockers being added this year expect the policy to be even more reinforced so plan ahead and take very little with you. Preferably a light jacket/sweater/good shorts with buttoned up pockets.

Your point about SFStL is right on target. While we have fun at GA, the entire atmosphere at SFStL sometimes didn't even feel like a SF park. Other than the tornado that blew by, the entire family had a great time.
