As everyone already knows, the main addition will be Buccaneer Battle. The park had a bunch of renderings, but they were the same ones that we've already seen. The only news with BB is that the park has confirmed that we will be getting the "people dryers" like Dollywood has.
As for general improvements, Demon Nachos has been removed. It will be replaced by a mini Johnny Rockets (Fries and Shakes only). Antoine's Ice Cream Parlor in Orleans Place will become a Cyber Cafe. Tweety & Friends is being replace by a shop having to do with Mars candy. Lockers will be added at Demon, Viper, and V2. This means the only coasters with no lockers will be Whizzer, Ragin' Cajun, and Spacely's Sprocket Rockets. Also, the park map has been completely redrawn for 2009.
The big news is, as had been rumored, Mr. Six is returning
It seems like they're making a lot of small little improvements. Hopefully the park will have a nice atmosphere this upcoming season, and I look forward to seeing the new additions.
LOCKERS AT V2! I knew it wasn't going to last long...Need to get that money somehow...why not just leave the bins? More bushes for SWF area I presume...
- Hmm, I wonder why they didn't replace Tweety shop with Wiggle's - Second: What's a Cyber Cafe and is that needed at a Theme Park?
If Anyone has been on Indiana Beach's Splash Battle and Dollywood's River Battle, Can you tell me which one gets you more Wet. I'm Worried Bucc. Battle will become a Splash Battle.
He did not make more coasters unpopular, the park has made the policy more uniform. This will eliminate people asking if I can take it on a ride such as Demon, why not on Iron Wolf?
Much better to have a more uniform policy, people will know what to expect and then will plan for it.
I was shocked V2 didn't have it sooner but the bins are fine in my honest opinion. Leave at your own risk. Who would want someone's used water bottles anyway?
Wanted to add that Brook did talk very briefly about the SSA area at the front of the park. She said to look for a change in that area in 2010. No other info was given. I also asked about the SWF area, and she said that nothing was planned at this time.
As far as BB goes, I was hoping to see some updated construction pictures. Everything they showed were the same renderings that were in the Season Pass processing center at the end of the season. Was a bit disappointed with that.
So, like I thought Hurricane Harbor will be expanded in 2010 for it's 5th birthday. Splash Water Falls, though in more desperate need for replacement, will be rotting until they figure out which kid area to put in next.
And this just goes to show that the park is making good money from these lockers or they wouldnt being adding any more!!! And that is there main concern. nothing to do with safety or liability!!
