What makes you think that Fright Fest is the biggest time of the year for the park? Fright Fest is only open on certain days (mostly 3 times a week with Friday only being 6 hours). For Fright Fest, you have no waterpark, no water rides, no train, no Sky Trek Tower, and they might close down some rides because they will say they are low staffed. They are paying tons of money for decorations, fog juice, and costume characters all over the place. The rain, and cold weather could potentially scare away people.

Fright Fest is less packed than you think it is. With so much stuff closed, people have to go to other attractions. I would say that July, and August are the biggest months for Great America with them being open everyday. If each of those water rides were 700 a hour (1 hour line), and you have all 3 closed, that's 2100 people per hour that have to go somewhere else now. If the waterpark is only half full, that's 3600 people that have to go somewhere else.

I have a question. I got a season pass voucher for a 2007 pass and never used it. They didn't give a refund, but they did upgrade it to a 2008 voucher. I did go to the park this seson, but I still have yet to use the voucher. My question is, is it too late to activate my 2008 one if I go next week, or will they maby upgrade it again to a 2009 pass since I never used it?

Also, how long does the process of taking your picture and getting a card take?

I'm very confused. How did you go to the park this year and not use your season pass voucher :?

Not long at all, assuming there isn't a line. It only took me 5 minutes max.

Yeah but Fright Fest is still a big moneymaker for the park and can get upwards of 49,000 people on the busiest days. How about cutting some days in June or August and giving season pass holders one free friend day in October? You have all these half offs but that is it. I told my brother from the start he had one free day. I was certain the park would give you one free friend day. For the money he will spend on his half off ticket he could get food/drinks, etc. And I'll probably get a flash pass for us too so a lot of money.

Not ready to buy it with Christmas less than 2 weeks away but it will probably not go any lower than that. If you have the money and plan on going more than twice next season you should buy it. For yourself. Gift yourself this holiday season.

only 3x what I paid at SFStL ;)

though I guess to be fair after the parking pass, I paid $63, so as long as you're not buying a parking pass, not to shabby.

Well the sale is going on for day TWO!
Offer Expiers Mon. Dec. 15 at Midnight :!:
It is 20% off the Current Season Passes prices of $69.99
2009 Season Passes are now on sale for just $55.99 — that's just $1 more than a one-day ticket :D

I get my Season Passes last Night and the total was $300.68
Includes a set of 4 passes 55.99 ea and 1 parking pass 65.00
plus taxes $6.72 and also print at home vouchers $5.00
Can't wait until april 2009 :)

pass prices around the USA 20% off@ Six Flags Parks / Parking Pass (no change)
SFDK- $39.99/ $45.00
SFMM-$47.99 /( $125.00 edit: price is theme park and parking)
SKOG-$39.99 /$45.00
SFKK-$35.99
SFA-$39.99/ $45.00
SFNE-$51.99/ $50.00 ( 2008 renewal-$51.99)
SFSt.Louis-$47.99/ $45.00 (2008 renewal-43.99)
SFGAdv-$67.99- 2PK /$92.00- 3PK / $42.06
SFGE- $55.99 / $28.05
SFFT-$47.99 /$45.00
SFOT-$52.79 / $4500

In red- no change but Discounts included are Flash Pass, Food, FF Mazes, and Merchandise- good ideal :)
In Blue- deals on parking since FF -this is a good ideal to use at all parks when ordering season passes so early.
2008 renewal prices is good thing just should be at all parks!

In my opinion- $65 Parking pass in way too high then other parks unless it going to repaving the entrance roads to the park. Since the toll-way is upgrade the roads, why-not the park should do the same thing.
A Season Parking lane would be great on far left, just like SFGAdv has one! With repaving, New Striping will help get cars in line for toll booths and back entrance needs help, too! Just for Wisconsin Travelers.
While they have my $65 plus more from others repave the Employee entrance road, too and make it Express Exit for after Closing or Emergency Exit. Since a Stoplight was put in recently!

I don't know if I'm getting a season pass this year. I will get one if I plan any trips to other six flags parks. I'm for sure not getting a cedar fair pass, because those are a total ripoff.

When I found out about this sale, I was quite angry considering I paid $70 for a pass plus $10 for shipping (since I bought online). I sent them an email yesterday stating my anger about the sale and the fact that they charged the extra $10 for shipping costs for renewing pass holders when I could have bought a new pass for less money. I just got an email back from them and they are offering me a $10 refund for the extra shipping and a free ticket. I think it could have been a little better, but I'm very impressed with the prompt response and the offer.

The 20% off is a good deal. Was a little sad about it as I paid the 69.99 price on the first day of Fright Fest, but this was also the first time I bought a season pass. So I got this year free as well so it works out in the end.

We are so screwed on the parking...I do see that most of the cheaper parks are well...cheap in value. Maybe for my birthday in January. We'll see.

That sucks. I think I'm going to hold off on getting my pass until later in the year. I might just get it at a different six flags park, because it's usually cheaper at other parks.

Six Flags became the discount kings. They devalued the parks and the industry by giving away the gate, we will stop that.

-Mark Shapiro

Fail, these SPs cost the same as a regular day ticket. Not to menchin buy one get one free tickets going all last summer.

Way to devalue the industry Six Flags :P

Agree 100%. 4-5 visits should pays for the pass, not the 2 of the normal prices and one now. I know I'd gladly still pay well over $100 for a season pass for all the Six Flags Parks. $55.99 is beyond insane for a pass to 16 theme parks. The pass is even less at other parks, something like 40-45 at St. Louis.
