I checked the sixflags website and it says it is open from 5-11. I have never been to the park on a friday and wanted to go on Halloween, for a bit before heading to Antioch to see my inlaws. But with it opening at 5 I can't do that. My question is why do they have it open for only 6 hours?
Yeah the last couple Fridays I have gone its been dead, especially last Friday. Although it was weird because it didn't get busier until 8(ish)...even with the rain and cold temps.
But I think that many season pass holders go on Fridays, as people who would be buying tickets would go on a day where it open from 10-8pm/10-10pm. Which is why I think its bizarre that Raging Bull will have a 3/4 que house full, yet TDK has a 10 min line.
There is a possibility of me going tomorrow but it depends on work. If I wont be able to get down there till 6:30/7 it wont pay, since its dead the first hour or so.
It won't be that crowded. People, over 21, don't go to Six Flags for Halloween. I'm going to 10 pin for bowling, buffet and drinks. Its all free inside the cover and the drinks are alcoholic.
And the weekend should not be crowded either, normally the park is empty for last weekends.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
^Except last year. It was crazy the Sat and Sun. People were still buying tickets at 5:00pm, on Closing day. Dejavu, Iron Wolf, V2, Batman, Raging Bull, Viper were all full ques...and extending. And it didn't even die down at all. I think Superman was still cycling by the time we were done with the Dejavu/ACE thing.
I'm still probably going to have to get a gold flash pass for me and my bro on Sunday. Sucks that the water rides are closed they are the best part of any trip. I'll try and see a drained RR if I don't forget to go in that area where you squirt people for $.25 which BY THE WAY is a rip off because they don' work every time and you don't know when they will so you waste good quarters!
Oh no, I am going Saturday for the third time this FF. Last Saturday was horrible. I was thinking that since Halloween is right before, people would have gone on Friday and not Saturday.
Oh well. My friend can get one of those RAPs, so I'm good.
It is really not THAT bad if you know what rides to go on first and follow a certain plan throughout the day. Don't go from one area to the next and back again. Try to go from the busiest (Bull/Superman) to the walk-ons (Iron Wolf/Eagle/Demon) That is if you don't have a flash pass. If you do, go wherever.
Fri ended up being completely dead, rode every coaster except for demon within the first 2 hours, along with most flat rides, also saw freakshow and LAFF and had time to spare for rerides

Going tomorrow. This being the end of the season until April/May 2009, I wanna ride everything I can. How much would it be for 2-3 GOLD flash passes? Like I said before, I paid $80 in June for two is it still the same? I couldn't find the info exactly on the six flags site. They way the worded it made it seem like I would pay about $100 for two. WTF? Did the gold flash passes go up? Is it still 60 for 1 and 80 for 2?

Gold was 108 for 2 and not sure for 3 people, but prices have went up AGAIN.
We were there Saturday and it wasn't as busy as previous Saturdays and we arrived around 2ish,BUT as time passed more people were arriving at the park and it seemed to be really busy by the time we came out of the 3:15 showing of LAFF (which capped out really quickly!).After LAFF ,we went to Picto for Haunted Castle which was almost full with scattered seats left on the exit side.

I don't want to get to far off topic of this thread so I'll just make a quick response here. I think those pay water canons have delays/timeouts on them. I learned that if you time it right when you drop in the quarter , you should able to squirt. Some people would go and put the quarter in long before the raft comes and by the time it does come the canon times out. So you end up losing the 25 cents. (learned this the hard way over time)
