What was the Wilderness theater used for?For those of you who don't know what it is, it is the theatre to the left of Iron Wolf. I cant remember the last show they had there. I mean it is just collecting dust( I wish they wold take it down and build a cool flat or something)cough cough.
Up through 1986 it was home to Nemo and Neptune, the parks 2 performing dolphins. From 1987 onward it was a high dive act. Once that ended the theater was used for cheerleading competitions and stuff of that sort for a while, til probably 03 or so (maybe earlier) until it seems most ceremonies were moved to Southwest Amphitheater and they left Wilderness Theater to rot basically, cant say I've seen anything happen in there for quite some time now.

I guess Six Flags really did change a lot. I cant see Six Flags having a dolphin show. The theater is behind Spacelys, if you go threw Necropolis during the day you can see the theater by those bush guys. Its on there left.
^Yep, you can't miss it as long as you keep looking to the left prior to the bushes. We were at the park friday night ourselves and we saw it even with the darkness and fog. The only way to miss it is to basically walk straight ahead without looking to the left. You'll know it when you see this big canopy resting on the stage and the stairs.
^ Not necessarily. If you walk into Necro and walk all the way down and turn right, look to you're left and you should see it. I guess it's sort of big, but I don't see why SFGAm doesn't use it.
poor wolfie rip ( hopewe get a neww bm wingrider for next year!11!
Now that Theatre Royal and Space Shuttle America don't exist anymore, they really should fix the theatre up and re-open it or tear it down and build an indoor theatre.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I was finally able to upload this after some technical issues with camera. The first pic is of the entrance door to the theater, its behind the Fright Fest decorations. You can barely see the name at the top of the sliding door..
This is a picture of part of the stages background and you can see the framework for the canopy that seems to be in its storage position(lowered to the stage) and the canvas is probably being stored for the winter..
