Im thinking about it. I am going to fright fest next week. I go in the summer usually. Maybe I will go more than once next year. Then I have a reason to go to fright fest next year.
Just got mine at SFStL, pass was $29.99 with a receipt I picked out of a trash can, then $45 for the parking pass. $75 isnt to shabby for a season of Six Flags with free parking
And Evel Knievel makes the trip down there completely worth it besides the cheap pass.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
I got my 09 pass last weekend. Thanx to a payback check on a school loan, I could afford it. And I will get the parking pass maybe next weekend or next season, dont know.
I dont care that we didnt get a new coaster this year. If we got one every year : 1) Prices would skyrocket to cover the costs (shy do you think you had to buy an 08 cup this year for your cokes...to cover TDK). 2) There would be no more room for anything (unless they moved the parking to across 94 and had a shuttle..not gonna happen. And 3) The families, the bread and butter of any theme park, would hi-tail it to Indiana Beach or to the Dells.
So am I happy with Six Flags, no. It sucks, but as the only place like it in the area and with the pass being so cheap right now, I got one. Do I think FF sux....YES! Its about as scary as F***ing in daylight. There are no scary characters, I didnt even see the trolls until the parade and the new "Hollywood Terror" in SWT is really...in a word....LAME.
But in this litigious society we live in where a restaurant can be sued for hot coffee or a cold burger, I can understand the characters not wanting to scare anyone...afraid some jag))f would sue them...for going to FF.
I think the soonest I would would be right around the holidays. Then again, who knows. I probably will only make two or at most three trips next year. Not the end of the world. Thing is, those extra tickets do come in handy especially early in the season when you can actually bring in someone for free....not like Fright Fest.
I haven't gotten mine yet, but I think I'm going to wait until they have the "$25 season pass" sale for one day like last year...I missed it by 1 hour last time.
