Well, I'll be out at the park all day tomorrow, and I will have my camera with me. So, I'll take pictures of anything that I see, and write at TR at some point late tomorrow night or Sunday morning.
One thing I did want to add from yesterday's visit. The sign that John starts out this thread with that was (key word there) in front of SSA that said "Future site for new attraction" is now GONE.
Could it be, that the sign was for the move of Area 51 from Hometown Square to that area, and nothing is going there in 2009?
Just thinking out loud here.....so, comments welcome.
This was my idea. Take out ssa (even though i feel bad for my mom cause this is the only ride she likes) and move or take out the go garts. I would like to see a motor coaster or something like this, its a launch coaster but it isnt too much room. if you think about it, there is alot of room when you take the 2 things out.
I would love to see something like a looper too. I was thinking of it for awhile. They are building some stupid water ride for kids in vu's spot but this would also let me enjoy the park.(more)
I love both of those ideas...not oo much room if you are willing to try it out. I think we will see a new coaster for 2010 but that is still so far off it is not worth thinking about right now before the 2008 season is even over.
This would never happen but Six flags would take 3 ideas or (five) and have viting booths for upcoming attractions and let the public vote what they want. But the park gets to chose what would run for a permit. But that wouldnt happen.

Thats completely realistic because we all know how much SF loves Premier launched coasters, not like they just removed one (technically 2) this season due to unreliability.

Six Flags Great America should build a Motor coaster. Think about it, they might not be Raging Bull, but they are pretty cool. They launch to 50 mph and have cool turns. And since they are new seats, you get a whole new riding a coaster feeling. And they dont take up too much room. They aren't that expensive either. If Six Flags manager is reading this, please take this in consideration.
It would fit in great but how fast does it go? Is it even reliable? How much $$? I could see it I guess. I doubt it will happen. I don't think it would be best in the LONG RUN.
That Zonga coaster looks like a mixture of Z-Force, that looper in the mall in Edmonton, and a torture device, all with the loops painted pretty colors.
I like my cranium the way it is, so no thanks to that one.
The first one would be a real tight fit in SSA's spot, even if the Go Karts are removed. Probably involve building into the parking lot, which I like to call the Six Flags Specialty. But a launch coaster = $$$$, both to build and operate. Not gonna happen.
If anything does go there, I'm staking my money on it being an HH expansion and separate entrance for water park only.
Just a thought- there's some talk that they are going to remove the boomerang coaster for a new ride at Six Flags Over Texas. That would easily fit in either SWF or SSA's spot, and since it's a boomerang, would kind of make up slightly for the loss of DejaVu...
Not sure if this was mentioned or not, but behind the wall that you get your picture taken for the 2009 season pass is 3-5 pictures of concept artwork for the ride. If no one has put them online, I'll try take picks of them Friday.
