What?

Who ever said anything about a predator?

Well, prey is what predators attack and kill, so I thought that maybe you thought the new coaster would be a predator. It was a joke, and it obviously was over your head. Forget about it.

Last I knew, I wasn't getting worked up. I simply said that it was over your head and to forget about it. I didn't chew you out or anything, I was just stating a fact.

So, what are the updates regarding whether its malfunctioning a lot or not at Silverwood besides that one news story? Is it going down often, or not at all? It would be nice if the ride op would be able to share what's going on whether it's good or bad.

I don't think we will hear much about those type of things coming from Silverwood.

So isn't it funny how for this season Silverwood announced Aftershock and it was such a big deal and now they probably won't announce any big addition for 3 or 5 years? Seriously, they spent a total of almost 5 million dollars on the ride and installation and for them that was a lot of $$. Man, there are so many ways you can compare Silverwood and Six Flags. These days they have more in common than not.

Why is that funny? Aftershock was a big investment for Silverwood, which is privately owned. To spend 5 million on one ride is going to take some time to regain. The park also just spent 6 million on a water park expansion, so the total debt is quite large right now. Fact though is that the park is not hurting for money and is doing quite well. Gate count was up yet again for the 2008 season.

And as for downtime it was 2% for the 2008 season. Most of it was weather related. It ran great.

^ 2% How? It was down for the first month and half.

2% would only be about 4-5 days of down time...no way.

well that 2% would be measured from the time it opened to the public.

Times like now really make me miss DejaVu....and Shockwave.

With out a doubt my 2 favorite coasters at the park...next come Whizzer. Then that will make my 3 favorite ride "defunct" rides.

Anyone remember how awesome our skyline looked in 2001? Shockwave, Raging Bull, V2, DejaVu, Giant Drop, Sky Trek Tower....boo.

The 2001 skyline was the BEST! I don't think we will ever get two giant additions in one year again...ever.

That area in County fair has not been very lucky the last few years first Sky Whirl is thrown away, replaced by Vu which lasts only 6 years, then replaced by a kiddie attraction. SWF is taken down after 20 years with nothing to replace it and even the following year the park seems to want to let it sit like that in the condition. Ten of course, is that rumor that DDD will leave County Fair very soon. only AE and Revolution left!

Haha, yeah, right now we are all like, damn, I miss Vu, but then when it sucks the money out of their pockets to keep running, and breaks down every day, we will be like, ohhh yeah, I don't miss it that much. I remember all of the disappointment I had when I found out it wasn't running though. I had like I think 6 rides on it, and 2 of them were AMAZING.

1 of them was where me and my friend got their at opening, and ran to Vu, and we go on front row for the first ride of the day, and we were the only 2 people on it. It was so cool.

The 2nd was when I was there with my family, and I noticed they were testing Vu, and with my knowledge I knew it would possibly open even though there was a sign saying it won't. So I asked a ride op if it was opening, and he was like, yeah, start the line, you got here just in time. I waited like 5 minutes, and I got on front row.

Oh, another time was I went there with a broken ankle to get the wheel chair experience, and I got stuck in the elevator for wheel chairs, and freaked out, but I got on, and I swear to god something hit my broken ankle in the cobra roll. Like, nothing hard, but I thought I hit the railing. It was probably nothing, but it scared the shit out of me.

Don't go their and get a wheel chair, people give you dirty looks, and make mean remarks at you. Some lady walked up to me, and was like, yeah, I could put something on my foot and say it's broken. I was like, YOU WANT ME TO TAKE OFF THIS CAST? MY WHOLE FOOT IS BLACK & BLUE. It was really b****y of her.

Oh no, I miss Vu now, the first drop is insane in the front. Scared me to death.

I am sure we will get something soon that will cure our pain. It just sucks all of these rides just closed, and we have no news for something new.

....I guess since they are my least two favorite rides I forgot about them! Everyone knows I HATE Iron Banger and Demon is so 10 years ago. I could have sworn Iron Wolf was not in CF though....So it is actually Yukon Territory that has 1 ride I like...Logger's Run

For me, the "wow" factor I got going to SFGam in the past with Deja Vu being there is now long gone. No other ride gave me such chills. Not even close. It was a unique design and had a big impact. Kind of like V2. Only better. Lucky Silverwood. Those bastards.

^Yes...know the feeling!

The only other ride that gave me the same feeling was Shockwave. Even with being on about 200 (ish) coasters those coasters were always worth the wait.

I remember Condor when I was riding it when shockwave was still up, and the first loop was like 20 feet from condor. Man, that was cool. And I swear they made condor shorter!

I hate I never got to ride Shockwave...it was always something I wanted to try eventually. At least I got on Vu ONCE. About 2 months before it closed.
