I think it would be cool with amazing theme things, some new trains, and some paint.

People may call it "The one where you stand up", but a ton of people love the stand up part. I know they don't give diddly squat about the paint job and name or trains, but I think it would improve popularity with a new paint job, new look, and new theming. And yeah, the only thing people don't like about it is the roughness, but people get over that, and if they can improve the roughness, then they should do it.

What exactly would you do actually to improve roughness?

I don't read the forums for a week and Buccaneer Battle turns into Iron Wolf.

Haven't posted anything in awhile so I'd put in my two cents towards this.

Even though this isn't a coaster. It's still a great addition.
It'll get people over to this area of the park again, and get the games and shops in this area getting some more money. Which in turn could build up the people in the area to maybe eventually put a really nice flat in SWF's spot. Who knows?

AT LEAST block the SWF area off so you don't see a ugly dried up "pond" all next season. Or just yeah move the go karts there. ANYTHING.

that sucks...I won't get a chance to go until my brother gets back from Poland October 19th. I wonder how construction work has progressed. Does any1 know if a lot of test runs have been going on at the park since it closed mid-September?

Why would it be dead? especially since the park has been closed for like 3 weeks?

When they started FF on a Friday, 95% of the time the park was just about dead. But, that was for the first friday of FF.

So it is actually a good time to go...I wonder what it is like going on a ride like Bull when the temps are only in the high 50's/low 60's in Gurnee.

^I'll be at the park all day on Saturday, and if I see anything going in any of the areas identified as "future site for xxxx" I'll take pictures and pass on what I see.

As far as riding RB when the temps are in the 50's and 60th...that's nothing. I've been on it when the temperature was a balmy 33 degrees! :D 5 or 6 years ago now, the park tried something called "Last Blast" and was open the weekend AFTER Halloween (November 5-8th or something). Friday night the temperature started around 43, and dropped as the night went on. At closing time, it had to be around 33 or close to it. Also of note that weekend on Sunday, there was ICE on the reflection pond at the front of the park when the park opened at 10 AM.

So yeah...REAL men ride RB when it is sub-freezing! :)

Is it painful going down a roller coaster lie raging Bull in those temps? Seems ridiculous but fun to have the park open the weekend after Halloween. They should try it again someday. Maybe 2009?

^ Painful, no. Cold, yes. Quite possibly the most suprising part of Last Blast (which was November 1st-3rd, 2002) was the fact that Deja Vu was open despite its usual cold weather issues.

Yeah, although I hated riding Iron Wold in the rain when it was 35-40 degrees. It made the head banging painful because of the coldness and it made your face numb and stinging.

Again, hopefully they will do it again someday soon. Sometimes, the weather really is not that bad in early November. I just wish Roaring rapids was used for Fright Fest. Oh, we are waaaaay off topic.

Riding the bull in the rain is kind of fun, because the rain feels some what good, but somewhat needley. I love riding roller coasters in cold weather. I just love the cold air blowing at me. But then again, riding in nice 70 degree weather is always the best.

Also, I seriously think, despite the fact we have 4 B&Ms, we should finish it off with a floorless or a nice twisting coaster. I have never ridden a floorless, and I think they should put on in illinois. When I rode sheikra it wasn't floorless, so I was disappointed to hear they put floorless trains on.

Anyway, I am going to FF this year with some friends, and I am so pumped. I'll try and take some pictures. If I take some pictures, I will end up taking pictures of everything.
