2009 Season Passes on sale, $69.99

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby wishman35 on September 20th, 2008, 11:24 am
They are $69.99 right now, parking is $65 again, they say that is for a limited time so maybe the parking got bumped up? Obviously the pass will go up to $85-90.

When i read the reasons for getting a pass Buccaneer Battle is the only ride they mention, looks like thats the extent of it. Boo

They also mention a private night for passholders in Sept, 2009. I really hope they didn't trash all of the night events for that.

I am not sure if i can make the plunge yet, but only 70 is really a good offer. Sorry if this is a repost.

For the renewal, they charge you shipping because they ship you out your new pass. Does it actually come in like 5-10 business days?

They already have the 2009 cards in stock? Do you guys recommend buying now. Thanks

I say it's BS if they are charging you for shipping considering this year they sent pre-made passes to 2007 pass holders even though many of them still had to renew.

If I was sure I was going to the park a lot next season, I'd buy the pass now as it will only get more expensive as time goes on.

well for 69.99, that is only going twice and that is a guarantee. I am just wondering if they actually ship out your 2009 pass this early on. I wonder what it looks like.

Also parking is 65 at checkout, is that price also discounted? do you think they raised prices on parking?

Just go to the park and buy one, save on shipping and it's processed right there and then.

If they aren't, then they are seriously doing something wrong.

$69.99 is not bad but they should keep the price longer maybe until the end of the year? Then increase it to $79 or $89. Offer another promotion before the park reopens. I wonder if it will be April in 2009. They should always open in late April.

^It will last until the day before you decide to purchase one.

When you purchase, it will jump 50 bucks.

Also, how expensive is shipping?

Well for the renewal they force you to pay shipping since they will just send you out the card. I guess it doesn't make a difference going for a new one and a new picture to save the shipping right? They might charge that print n go fee though.

I doubt the price is 69.99 at the park, heck they charge you another 55 after you walk in to upgrade to a season pass.

Hi everyone. Been reading the site for a month since I moved up by the park. But on the printing part, it cost me 3 or 4 bucks to print out the voucher for the big 6 pass. For me, buying 2 season passes in person would save at least 6 bucks.

One other question, if I buy a season pass parking for next year, will it be good this year like the season pass is?"

Thanks and I hope to contribute more in the future.

I would only assume yes, the checkers dont care much and since you 09 pass will be valid, i am sure that they will allow you through if its marked parking.

you didnt hear it from me, but go into the park with your current season pass, find a full price ticket stub on the ground, and use it to pay just for the upgrade, season pass for around $55 or whatever they charge to upgrade a one day ticket to a season pass.

so i was looking at the sixflags/stlouis website and they have renewals for $54.99. Does your current pass need to have been processed at that park or will they let you renew no matter what park you got your current pass from?

I know that one day last year in the off-season, (December maybe?) there was a one-day price that was VERY cheap. I don't remember the exact price, but if I'm not mistaken, it was the same as one-day admission. I'm hoping that that happens again.

No. One of my friends actually did that. His 2008 pass was from SFGAm and he renewed it at SFStL. Though I remember him telling me $30 for some reason.

Maybe, he had to pay $30 extra because he didn't visit SFStL. To stop the cheaper season pass prices, they make you go to the park you get the pass from. If you get a pass from SFStL, you must visit that park or you can't use it for SFGAm. That's how it's always been.

I am still so mad that the park gave so many unnecessary days when you can bring a friend for free but left out Entire Fright Fest! 1/2 off? Not a single free day? On the biggest month for the park? BULL
