I've listed below the items that I'm talking about.
FRIGHT FEST Dead Man’s Party (Show) The one party everyone’s dying to get invited to! Party with the undead as Dr. Fright hosts the biggest bash this side of the grave.
FRIGHT FEST Freak! (Parade) See all of the parks ghoulish characters in this afternoon parade as the park transforms from Thrills by Day to Chills by Night with the rise of the creatures of the night! Runs daily at 3 pm.
FRIGHT FEST Love at First Fright (Show) Fright Fest’s trademark family musical is back for its 18th smash season! Join Jack and Katie on their dare…to spend a night in the cemetery.
FRIGHT FEST Susan Rosen, Mistress of Mesmerism (Show) Guests can sit for a spell and witness the marvels of hypnosis or volunteer to fall under hypnosis themselves during this compelling show.

FRIGHT FEST The Human Freak Show (Show) Witness feats that both entertain and disturb. *Due to graphic content and intense nature, not recommended for children under 12.
FRIGHT FEST The Wiggles (Show) The Wiggles continue their run with a Halloween-themed show that won’t send guests crying to their mummy. Free with admission.
FRIGHT FEST Zombie Jamboree Parade (Parade) A terror-ific end to a spooktacular day, the Zombie Jamboree Parade features a menagerie of ghouls and frightfully fun characters. Runs nightly a half hour prior to park closing.
As far as Fright Fest Shows go...They don't need to change them. LAFF plays to capacity crowds like 90% of the time (That's a guesstimation), Susan Rosan and Haunted Castle are both extremly popular, as is the freak show, we always have two daily parades no need to mess with that now. And as far as Dead Man's Party, it's obviously going to be different somehow seeing as how it's changed venue's every year (Starting as a welcome show at the reflection pond, then merging with the "Welcome to My Nightmare" show in Theatre Royale, and obviously Theatre Royale is gone now, so that's honestly enough change to keep me interested.
Although I do have to say that i'm dissappointed that there is quite litterally NOTHING new besides that. (Although they have yet to talk about transformed rides for the year). I'm kind of okay with that for this year, but that means next year they will hopefully spend some money on new stuff. SIX FLAGS wake up and look at Rise of the Demon! There are only FOUR creatures in there and yet it was still scary! That's something that seems to me like it can be easily duplicated.
Just a few examples of new things at FF for the past few years. Not directed at any particular annoying whining person who likes roller coasters and will therefore continue going to the park but he is going to whine and moan anyway instead of just shutting up and dealing with reality.
New for 2007- Pumpkin Guy, Tinsel Town Terror, Studio 13, Ricoslay, Hellevator/Deja Vu, Rise of the Demon, Area 51 in County Fair, Trick or Treat Trail, New Trails in Necro where freak show used to be. The Birds, Dead Man's Party, Carnevil of Doom (Just a different spin on it but I thought it was worth mentioning).
New for 2006- Dr. Fright's Dead Man's Party (The Reflection Pond Version), Welcome to my Nightmare, Return of Deadman's Gulch Characters in Southwest after a hiatus, FREAK! Parade, Snakes on a Train, Tiny's Nest in Eagle's Station, The Curse 3-D Haunted House, hold-up express train show
New for 2005- Seven Sins Cemetary Scare Zone, Area 51 Scare Zone, Rodeo Clowns, haunted House, Demon Revue Show, Return of Demon Theming, Satan Claws scene in necro, Fallen Giant Attraction,
Chi-town, if you can point to local haunted house that has a B & M roller coaster in the area, I will be very happy to visit it!!!!!! But I will still attend and will critique what I find while in the park, and if it upsets you, so much the better!! Not everyone is content to be a SFGAM fanboy and just applaud everything they do.
And why cant the park get just ONE FF attraction that is up to the quality of HHN, and have it as part of the general park admission??? The Rise of the Demon was a very good addition last year, and I hope it is back.(putting a few cheap plastic snakes in the que on Viper is a park addition???/if so that is very sad, now if the snakes had actual movement and did move while you were on the train, kind of what you will find in 4d movies, that would have been worthy of being called a new addition.
Studio 13: Where Film Comes to Fright Additional fee required Hollywood comes to the Midwest in this exploration of primal fear showcasing 12 horror flicks in 13 rooms that guarantee a scare at every turn. Studio 13 will invoke inner fears and satisfy the need to scream. Not recommended for children under 12 years of age.
Rise of the Demon Scare Area Free with admission Guests who meander too far from the path will end up in the Rise of the Demon Scare Area.
Mausoleum of Terror: The Horror Heart of Necropolis Additional fee required Long thought to be merely a myth, the Mausoleum of Terror stands as a malevolent monument to the undead where decaying citizens are deadly dedicated to wreaking their wretched revenge on the living! You found your way in, but can you find your way out? Not recommended for children under 12 years of age due to graphic content and intense nature.
Youtube has some videos of this company that makes props that our park has. It's not all our props, but some are the aliens, flying saucer, puking guy, electric chair, and so on.
I was shocked by this, because I thought that Six Flags Great America would have an in house team for these decorations. I guess not. I wonder where they buy the talking skeletons from even though I'm not going to buy it, but I wish they even had more. That Area 51 skeleton however stunk last year. I liked the new one in Hometown Square though.
I think Fright Fest is the worst time of the year. There is no waterpark, everything is crowded, the park isn't open many days in October (only weekends), and some rides might be closed because of low staffing.
However, besides the rides, I really like the animatronics and props they put up. I don't really care about the people that walk around, and scare other people.
If everyone whines about how boring Fright Fest is then don't go, when I go to the park I see people walking around that aren't scared at all. If you're going to be like that, then don't go because I hate people like that. I don't like to get scared either but I like to go because it's fun for me, I love watching other people get scared. If you're going to walk around and just ignore the people trying to scare you then stay home.
Save a Cockroach. Eat Another Creepy Crawler The past two years guests have been chomping at the bit to devour giant Madagascar hissing cockroaches. This Fright Fest, guests can swallow their way to the front of the line with the opportunity to "save" a cockroach and devour other creepy crawlers including superworms, night crawlers, grasshoppers, snails and silkworms. The feasting takes place Friday nights at 7 p.m. in Hometown Square.
The "Save a cockroach, eat another creepy crawler" made me laugh. If this is the way they're going to appease PETA's whining about the cockroaches, I can't wait to see how they will appease them when they complain about this!
Well, it looks like at least the freak show will be different next year as Ses Carny and Wyck, two of the freaks, won't be working the show this year. Ses has worked the show for the past few years, so I wonder if we're going to see freaks we've never seen before?
If we get to see some old favorites, I say bring back the guy w/ the lawnmower/lettuce act, and T2 (the guy w/ the missing eyeball). They were only around 1 year, and I thought they were great.

I hope that Studio 13 steps it up this year because last year it was really all it claimed to be. In the Jason room all he did was stand behind a bunk bed and swing a knife around. And there wasn't anyone in what I thought to be the saw room. But thats pretty much my only complaint about last years FF.
To clarify some of the questions/concerns addressed here...
1. The train is non operational for the rest of the season due to technical issues.. There is a bridge that the train passes over near Orleans that had rotting wood on it.. It was deemed unsafe for the train to pass over... (This IS NOT the train trestle that guests walk under to go from Orleans to Mardi Gras and vice versa. This is a small bridge in which the train passes over a backstage walkway near Orleans...)
2. LAFF will be returning once again, (God help us all), minus one of the witches... It is back to it's original cast of characters per say... And for those of you show groupies out there, you'll be happy to know that some of your favorite performers will be returning (regardless of the fact that they did not perform at all during the 2008 season)... They really should move on with their lives..
3. The new Buckaneer Water attraction is being placed in the location where Deja Vu previously stood (hence the "Come Ashore With Us in 2009" sign). Nothing has been mentioned in reference to what will replace Splash Water Falls or Space Shuttle America, however it has been discussed that SSA WILL be torn down.
4. Necropolis will be returning this year. (They are currently working on getting the Mausoleum set up.)
5. They will NEVER utilize Roaring Rapids or the Lazy River as a walkthrough tour attraction.
6. Yes, it is sad that no water attractions will be operational as they have been in the past.. (And dyed red as well!)
7. The pumpkin hydraulic will return to the water stage in front of the carousel.
8. Dead Man's Party will be located in the Snowshoe Taphouse where the Country Rocks show previously performed.
9. It would be very difficult to utilize the Wilderness Theatre for shows due to the amount of renovating and repair work that would need to be done..
10. There is a "new" maze that is Alien themed that will be located in front of Space Shuttle America.
11. Area 51 WILL be located in County Fair again..
12. None of the other roller coasters previously mentioned will ever be run backwards.. It might be possible for Viper, but I doubt we'll ever see this..
13. Zombee Jamboree Parade returns (YET AGAIN)...
14. Susan Rosen will once again be placed in the Southwest Rockin' Quarry.
I think that sums everything up that I can remember... If you have additional questions, feel free to ask..
