Second, I will take everything I just read, and respond.
I have never been to HH, but really want to. But, this better be the biggest it gets. I enjoy roller coasters way more than a water park.
If they put a pirate water ride thing, I will lose faith that SFGAm will be an extreme thrill park.
A nice extreme flat would be best to take it's place, or what about a nice compact S&S coaster, like that new Steel Hawg? (El Loco) I am not sure if SF can afford that right now, but it doesn't take up too much room, and it looks like a lot of fun. I think also, we should take out some of our flat rides, and replace them with better flat rides. And TDK should have been one of those Hurricane Spinning Coasters. I think those are so much more fun.
Also, I forgot, but whoever said an S&S spinning tower, those look SO much fun.
Ughhhhh, I really hope we don't get a pirate boat ride. That would be soooo lame. I wouldn't even be able to look at it. It would burn my eyes.
That has been going on for a while. 2003 was the last year we had a major addition to our park. Key word major. Debt does that to you. I don't think a dive machine or painting some of the rides would hurt the chain too much though. It's not like their debt issues will be better just because we don't get anything major next year.
^I'm going to refute you on that one!!! 2004 we received 5 flat rides and a whole retheming of an otherwise dead park! I would consider that a rather extensive addition. Also, we got a HUGE BRAND NEW WATERPARK in 2005, I don't know why this whole "no big thing since 2003" talk has come about, but seriously people, we have been getting good rides all along. Yeah, 2006 and Tornado wasn't a large addition, but the following year had our first new kids section in 10 years (which was needed) and this year we got our first indoor coaster! Seriously, people, be happy with what you get! If we do get a small ride, that makes one year since 2003 that we got shafted. In addition, we used to go years without getting things (2000 and 2002 we got nothing at all) and we didn't complain. There are times when I wish that the whole "family friendly additions" phrase was never muttered, because honestly, I don't think anyone would have noticed a difference in ride choices over the past few years in comparison to the past decade.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
I was talking more along the lines of coaster additions. major additions that leave an impact and you know will never fade in popularity. Examples: Batman, Bull, V2 and Superman. Since HH is not inside the park itself and not for everyone, I don't consider that one. For people like me who rarely go to water parks Hurricane Harbor means nothing.
A lot of talk has been said in this thread as to what we have gotten when in the past. So, to help clear that up, below is a list of what has come since the park opened in 1976. This is a list that I've been keeping. As far as I know, the dates are valid. However, if there is any mistakes, please let me know.
Thanks!

Thank you VERY VERY MUCH for posting this, because i've gotten sick of arguing this point! For all you "this new guy only adds family rides" thinkers out there, take a long hard look at this list at the variety, especially in the early stages of the park! It's not a matter of not building big coasters like they used to, it's a matter of building rides each year similarly to how the park used to do it, in a way that DOESN'T result in bankruptcy! While I might not be thrilled myself with an addition of a water ride next year, I do think it's a valid new attraction that we could use, especially if the waterpark is not going to be free for long.

I just thought of this... we have the pretty big deja vu spot... and what is right behind that spot... looney tunes national park... so I am thinking that LTNP enters and exits on the bridge of yukon and yankee.... yankee is water and... PIRATES. so you may think LTNP is a good kid attraction (maybe) so move some to camp cartoon (if you haven't noticed the flintstones area of CC has been closed all season so move the kid flats to there and keep the foam ball land and kid train and make a seprate entrance. so in the end you have a GIANT spot for a something er other... just a thought
^ ahhhh, what do you mean LTNP is never crowded. More than 70% of the time I have gone, it has had a good size crowd. IMHO, Camp Cartoon this year was a waste of space, with only three rides open. Now, that might have been due to DV removal, and prep work being done for the new attraction next year, or whenever it shall come.
Tony, we have been on the same page with all this talk of new rides, but, my friend, there comes a time when you think you might just be better off talking to a brick wall. Besides you, and a few others, are the only ones who seem to get the big picture.
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.

Well, I'm guessing that he said that because you said it was confirmed. So we'd all like to know what or who your source is. A sign that says "Come ashore with us in 2009" doesn't confirm any sort of new ride.
