SSA's spot alone is too small. The only way to make the spot for a coaster to work would be to remove Whizzer/Pictorium and or go into the parking lot.
And yes, Iron Wolfs spot could work for a new coaster. The only problem is the height and size. They would be limited by width, height, and sound. Because it would have to get approved because the office building complain about sound from the park.
I don't think shipiro would put a ride in a park unless it will benefit kids 48 inches or lower. I'm suprised he put a evel knieval ride in St. louis with his family park talk.

Or take out the go carts.
"The rides are GREAT, The shows are GREAT, the fun is GREAT. At Marriott"s GREAT AMERICA!"
I'm sure the ride operator knows that kind of stuff. He can definitely say if we will ever get a dive machine. You are so right. Those guys know everything.

Oh, I forgot. You know everything. Forgot I said anything. Anyway, I'll be interested to see if the splash battle's any good if we do get it.
Maybe A Great Day Is Just What You Need This Year '09 Demon rides-50 '09 SFGAm Visits-21
Well, if SFGAm were to put a Splash Battle in DV's spot, it will, or should I say would be the far higher capacity Mack model that Dollywood got this year vs. the Preston & Barbieri model you see at IB and a bunch of other parks.
I for one think it's a great investment for the park, family oriented but still lots of fun for everyone. We cant always get huge thrill rides.
Favorite Wood Coasters: The Voyage, Ravine Flyer II, Thunderhead, Balder Favorite Steel: Voltron Nevera, Steel Vengeance, Expedition GeForce, Olympia Looping Parks visited: 232, Coasters Ridden: Steel: 894, Wood: 179, Total: 1073
I never said I know everything. I just don't think a high school/college ride operator is informed of future plans for the park. I don't think Six Flags is even sure 100% for the years ahead. They change their minds a lot just look at Whizzer.

You know what sort of replies you are going to get with that comment.
What other BIG thrills are you talking about
I just hope that it is themed well and is a high capacity MACK model. Although I think SF wastes money trying to theme there rides. They could have save about 5 million by not theming TDK...yet they complain about not having money.
It reminds me of people who smoke, although I am a smoker I still find it ridiculous. Its like someone going to the fair and complaining about paying $4 for a beer...while there holding a cigarette.
Even though most people don't think the way Parker does, I totally agree with him. As much as I'd like a great new coaster, I'd be very pleased to get some new and entertaining attraction over nothing at all.
See its not the fact that I don't want family thrills or attractions. Its just the fact that they don't put forth the effort in doing so. Look at Wiggles World. It was supposed to be an area where families could spend a long time. Watch a show, ride the ride, eat at the cafe, ect. Well, the truth is the rides are crappy, unoriginal, not as fun for older kids. They didn't put enough money into it and in the long run families are disappointed. Mardis Gras. They put in a thrilling flat a family ride and a family mouse. Well all of those ride are crappy pieces of crap and the mouse in unoriginal and has horrible capasity. They did make a good move with the restaurant and the shows...but its not quality. TDK. Was supposed to be a thrilling family and thrill ride. Was going to be highly themed, great preshow, themed que, ect. Well they didn't put forth enough time or energy into the ride to make it quality and unique. So when people see the outside, walk through the que, see the pre show they are all excited...it hypes them up. Then when they ride the ride...its just a mouse with some cheap and unoriginal effects. Then because they got all hyped up they were disappointed. All of those failures cost them money...a lot. They were better off saving the money and not putting any effort into them.
The only well themed area that is original and has the effort into it is South West Territory. The rides are themed, the shows are/were descent, they have original food, ect.
The park doesn't know what they are doing. They see the attendance going up because of the hype. Well because they keep taking out stuff and keep disappointing people that will start to decrease...then the only customers they will have will eventually be the enthusiasts, IF they still go. Instead of treating each park individually they crap/chop all the parks in the chain. And they run our park down and don't add anything thrills because they know that we have no competition and that attendance inst our problem.
Cedar Fair does a good job. They treat each park individually and they DONT remove attractions because of cost. If they did that at Cedar Point they would loose HALF of there coasters. "Oh Wildcat is costing too much, so lets remove it and dont replace anything for a year". No you cant do that, it wont effect anything in the short term, but it will in the long term. SFGAm is one of the better, most money making parks in the chain, and you can tell because we were the only park with $55+ admission and $25+ parking. They use our park for money. Then they remove 3 great, family, memorable rides.
And SF is chopping the little things out of our park too. When was the last time you heard "carousel song"? They are really turning out park into crap, almost to bring it to par with all the other crappy parks in the chain.

I would rather get a revamped Iron Wolf and a new flat or small picnic area. Picnic Grove is something I always forget about because it is so hidden. Six Flags needs to stop spending money on new rides and start repairing their rides who have been neglected. Iron Wolf is an obvious choice. They also spend so much unnecessary money on old rides that the park doesn't need for the future. Whizzer anyone?
I'm sick of people saying Whizzer needs to be removed. That's all I have to say about that...
I agree with tp41190. The park is just getting ridiculous. I really miss the old songs they used to play, especially the carousel song. What ever happened? Now they play crappy ANNOYING songs like Jesse McCartney, that 'Beautiful Girls' song, and others that are played like 50 times throughout the day. The park experience is not the same as it used to be.
That's one reason I like HH better, they have much better songs there.
And if the park is seriously adding a splash battle, that's just pathetic in my eyes. Those look so pointless. I'm not asking for thrills, just something more worthwhile.
^More worthwhile are quality. Now if we were to get a themed Splash Battle like the one at Dollyfood then I will be happy. Now this is six flags though....we will probably get a basic out of the box one that looks like it belongs at a fair.
