And it dosen't make sense to drain the water out of RR evernight.
They need to inspect and do maintenence on the trough as well as the auxileries. There are three reseviours around the ride, one is where the rafts are stored, one is where a bunch of water and rafts rush in if theres an e-stop, and the other is where the water is stored at night. ...and it takes five minutes to drain or fill up the trough with water.

blastedmonkey wrote:Bob O. I think you're looking at this thing the wrong way. You go to a park like Universal or Knotts that has the budget to put out a new show every year, it's going to change, it's going to be different and it'll attract different crowds, also because it caters SOLELY to adults. There's nothing kiddie about their haunts. Six Flags still has to make the park semi-family oriented, even during the scary times. They seem to be trying to ween away the kids slowly but surely by making it clear that after...I forget the time...anyway, after that time, it's going to get scary. JPM is not the problem, it's the familys that are the problem. I'm not saying get rid of all familys during Fright Fest, but there should be some way to make sure that after their designated time, the small ones are gone from the park so that scareactors can go all out and not have to worry about parents getting in their faces for scaring their children. I went there last year and saw a mom in one of the vampires faces because her kid was walking by the character and got scared. Like I said, JPM is not the problem, it's that park itself, and the small children there after hours. I'm sure if this were a seperate ticket event like Knotts or Universal, you would see some different and more interesting changes. Keep JPM. I think they're great. For god's sake...did you SEE what happens when the park tries to do it themselves? Does anyone remember the Holdup Express from a couple years ago and how horrible that was? And how lame they were when they were trying to scare people who were walking across the train tracks between their shows? I rest my case.
Any park that advertises kiddie sections will have a problem with that. Disney parks probably don't have much of anything during halloween, since all you see in the commercials is the castle and the teacups ride (imagine if the six flags commercials only advertised chubasco and columbia carousel).
When I was at disneyland in May, I saw parents mesuring their 3-year-olds to see if they were tall enough to ride California Screamin'. http://www.rcdb.com/ig731.htm?picture=1
Disney has a after hours/special event called Mickeys Not So Scary Halloween Party which isnt scary but is a AWESOME event.
They have the whole Magic Kingdom open with a special fireworks show for the event, special parade for the event, besides all the scary characters from Disneys movies are out and about for pictures/autographs, other halloween shows and many different spots withing the park where all guests get trick or treat candy and you can keep going back for more as often as you like, in the past they gave away Mars Company candy. M & M's etc. At the end of the night if enough isnt given away they leave it at the exit so you can help yourself.
I'm also kind of disappointed to hear that Area 51 is in CF again. It was so much better in Hometown Square.
I'm actually to some degree satisfied at FF, like I have been for the last 5 years I've been going. It doesn't have to be terrifying to me, and honestly, I think JPM does a really good job! I see so many people scared there every year by the different characters. I can't judge the haunted houses, since I don't go in them, but for people who don't go there every year, several times a year, I think many of them tend to like it. With the budget problems that Six Flags seems to have, I think what we have is fine. I may be wrong, since I don't keep up with the park and its' news as much as I used to, but could we really afford something like the Hollywood Horror Nights crew? That's looks super expensive from the pictures I see every year.
Maybe it's the fact that I know I won't be able to go as much this year because I don't have a car at school, but I'm fairly satisfied with what we have yearly, and I don't think that scrapping everything and completely reconstructing how we do FF is the right thing to do.

Sledding party!!!
Sledding party? Now that is a cute joke, sir!
I'm sure Sfgam07 has a good answer to that, and they have to wash, rinse, and sanitize the pools and the water itself so no bacteria remains. That's part of keeping it clean and safe.
R.I.P. Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Deja Vu, enjoy Idaho.
Hear ye, hear ye: "After 45 years, Six Flags has stopped smoking."
They had a few little things here and there yesterday at the park, in orleans they had those gray boxes, I forgot what they're called. And in SWT, they had Mayor Slayers hearse
There really is no good answer to that other than leave them there over the winter then before it re-opens have the South Africans scrub the place down (and anyone else thats not in school on weekdays and wants to work).
The UFO can block out the train station in County Fair, kinda hard to block out the train station Hometown Square with a UFO so it makes sense whyd theyd want it in County Fair.

"Gotham City Nights" scare zone in Orleans Place. With scenes like and overturned SWAT truck, a schoolbus with a Joker Face painted on it, and the "SLAUGHTER" is the best medicine truck. Characters would include Escaped Arkham Inmates and the Evil Clowns.
"Joker's Fearhouse" A haunted house utilizing the back half of the theatre royale building, which, I think is more or less intact. The thing would be that it was an old funhouse taken over by the joker so on the old "Funhouse" sign, FUN would be crossed out and FEAR would be put in place, with Joker's name grafitited above it.
These two additions would work so well with the new attraction, and would most probably be very popular, based on the success of the film.
AREA 51 in Mardi Gras. Let's face it, it fails in county fair because there is no reason to linger. It became something that people walked past, while in HTS it was totally immersive.
Seven Sins Cemetary in Yankee Harbor- No scaracters but instead focusing on scares like the air cannon in the ENVY crypt, and the animatronic pop-up skeletons, and other gags like that. Motion sensors could shoot smoke out of crypts when people walk by, or a flash of light, or other things like that, so that characters would not be required.
Vampire Characters in Carousel Plaza.
Hometown Square becoming "The Skele-Town" With all the various animatronic singing and talking skeletons, as well as bone props around, and characters known as "the Bone-Eaters" People who have been driven into a lust for human bone.
Dead Man's Party on the Hometown Square Stage with two separate Shows a Show A and a Show B much like the current show stoppin'. Show A Bring Me to Life No One Lives Forever Walking with a Zombie Crypt Jam Ballroom Blitz Science Fiction Double Feature Feed my Frankenstein Halloween Dead Man's Party
Show B Bring Me to Life No One Lives Forever One Wild Night Rest In Peace Ballroom Blitz Welcome to My Nightmate Feed My Frankenstein Halloween Dead Man's Party
IF they can make the wilderness theatre habitable again, then they could combine the two shows for a sit-down show, but if not then well...
The Return of Love at First Fright minus the unneccessary second witch. Illinois Trollway Return of Rise of the Demon
A Revamped Tinsel Town Terror with Characters like Jigsaw and Micheal Myers (Not New Line Owned Proporty like Freddy and Jason because I beleive Universal has exclusive rights to them for their halloween event right now) And also "Horror Film Victims" On the mission stage they would hold a revamped "Your Horror Screen Test" putting people in front of a greenscreen in the morning, and then taking the best of them and putting them on a screen at night in front of the Gallows. If that makes sense. Also the return of Studio 13, which I thought was a great haunted house.
Susan Rosan in the Southwest Rockin' Quarry again.
A New "Rise of the Demon" style/size scare zone called "the Harvest" in County Fair in front of the Train Station with corn lineing the path and four scarecrow characters.
Werewolf charactes in the County Fair Midway.
Necropolis- Bigger Better, and return of Maus of course. And the yukon-yankee layout because it works better in my opinion.
A New "Salem Harbor" Scarezone beginning in Carousel Plaza and using the HH entrance path to empty out in Southwest. A stage would be set up outside Shuttle with the Witch beheading show that they have at New England and Great Adventure, and then you would have pirates and salem witches and stuff in the scarezone itself. Note that HH would not be used, there is a backstage path behind the go karts that could be used to go directly from carousel to Southwest, so empty water areas are not an issue. They could even cover some areas with tents or something because the path is a consistant width and not very large.
Hometown Fun Machine becoming "The Swamp Thing" with a gigantic sea creature in the whizzer lake, and the rest made to look like a swamp with smoke and lights etc... King Chaos becoming "thriller" only open at night time due to the low fright fest staffing we always hear about, a stobe could be aimed directly at the gondola as it does that hanging part at the end, and just turn the ride lights off for the rest of the cycle. Also of course dye the fountain red.
Bring back brutal Planet. I thought that was a hell of a haunted house.
Candy: What you lookin' at? Otis B. Driftwood: I'm lookin' at you, mama. Candy: Yeah, you see something you like? Otis B. Driftwood: Maybe. I set my standards pretty low, so I'm never disappointed.
- I would like to See Hurricane Harbor used for FF weather a Hayride or a Walk Through in the Lazy River or Something - LOVE AT FIRST FRIGHT LIVE!!! (If there's Video Shows, I'll go Crazy) - The Dark Knight in Pitch Black and Techno Music - Funhouse Express Film in Pictorium - Some of the Flat Rides get longer ride Time - The Train would be Working and have a good plot - If its warm enough, operate the Water Rides (Anyone Remember Blood River) - A Magic Show Please!!! - Run another coaster beside American Eagle Backwards (Like Demon or Viper) - A Comical Graveyard in Hurricane Bay like Cedar Point's Graveyard - 1/2 Priced Food, Drink, & Games (It Happened before) - One Night Open till Midnight (Assuming the Village of Gurnee takes the ##### out of their @$&#'@) - Some Kind of Performance in the Southwest Rockin Amphitheater (Not the Hypnotist)
these are my ideas it a little one I know i like the others half of the others -I like the hypnotist susan rosen to come back I liked her shows and that will upset for some people that liked her shows too if she didn't came back to fright fest.
-The joker taking the train from southwest area takin the train to hometown and batman come to save the people from him that my idea.
-of course keep love at first fright.

Eww, I loved how they changed it to Werewolf, haha. They had that hanging werewolf. So classic. SFGAm still has that ragtime 90s theming that I love. It is a classic.
I love going like end of October to FF. Bundling up in a sweater, and the cold wind blowing through your face on the Bull. AMAZING. And walking on those haunted walks with the orange and yellow leaves, and those creepy people that don't really scare you, but more touch you.. I took this one picture with a creepy dude, and we were just suppost to stand there, but he grabbed my head. Another dude rubbed my back. I dn, they scare me not like OH creepy, but like, are you going to do something bad to me?
