Testing has been consistent since Wednesday...so far, so good..
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
The key words being so far...Like I always say a coaster with consistent problems ranging for 6 years will not magically improve just because it gets moved to another park.
Not a big deal, DejaVu normally wouldnt run properly when it was started up in the morning, it took a few cycles and sometimes some adjustments every morning to warm it up and run properly. It should be no surprise to see it miscatch a LOT while they make adjustments for it to run properly (hell it did at GAm after every offseason or when the park was closed during the week, of course it will when they take it down and rebuild it).
I will all way's remember Vu because i smashed a cell phone on it. Fell out of my pocket going over the loop backward. I still shakes me up not seeing the GIB i loved so much!!! Green and Blue I miss you!!
wonder how long it will be until it breaks down to the public, if it hasent already, and what do they do when it valleys with people on it and they don't have the evac. platfore.

They can call Vekoma which told them they don't "need it", fools. You'd think Silverwood would have been more careful about taking all the necessary precautions. They got it up fast though. But it's already mid-season basically we really won't see how Aftershock does until next year.
I think they mean the Cobra Roll evac platform. Silverwood didn't want it, I would assume as the advice of Vekoma, it'd be much safer and easier to evac people with a cherry picker than deal with the evac platform and ladders as it's a flat platform for a train that's not level and partially banked.
With that homemade platform gone, all Silverwood has to do is get rid of the Premier Rides added seatbelts and it will almost be back to original Vekoma specs.

When Vu would mis catch on tower 2, How do they get the train back to the station. I have seen Vu mis catch on tower 2 and it does not get over the loop. They must have some kind of cable system to pull it over the loop and through the cobra roll back to the station. Two years ago the last night the park was open FF, I was standing right next to Vu when a mis catch happened. I kinda freaked out because of the sound it made.
When it valleys between the 2nd tower and the loop, maintenance goes in and manually lowers the catch wagon from tower 2 and pulls it up until it has enough momentum to make it through the course.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Must be a real pain in the ass. I wonder how many times did ours do that. The real test of Aftershock will be next year after the harsh Idaho winters and 2009 will be the year the ride either gets painted or a evacuation platform is put in. Maybe both.
