So one of my GP friends came up to me today. And said, "Yeah we waited two hours for dark knight. It wasn't that great. It's like Ragin Cajun with a roof over it and the lights out."
so i rode it last sunday, and i thought overall it was descent ride. But u went pretty fast through the ride so u couldn't really see all the theming. But i liked it i wouldn't wait over an hour for it.
for a crapy ride that definantaly was below my expectations\
i know people said it was crapy so i went to ride it with low expectations... so with that said the ride is terible ... !i would prefer a flat ride for sure!...
edit: when i went the sound in the pre show wasn't on! witch ruined that part! booo dark knight
So i too finally went on it yesterday. I have mixed feelings about it. The preshow was a very nice way to take a few minutes off of wait time and was pretty enjoyable. My grouped jumped when the lights flashed, sound boomed and the "haha"s came up on the walls. The wait was dreadfull however, the worst part of the whole experience. Not only were the announcements too many, but the announcer was boring!!! Get that other guy back from the 90s who actually sounded liked he knew what he was doing. ALso, the line was just a big room. It would be cool if it random times the lights went out and the "haha"s went up on those walls just as a precussor. Or have random joker voice overs saying things like "get out while you can" or the "what are you waiting for". I was also dissapointed to see that the Joker mask tv wasnt working yet. Overall for the line- 2/5
The actual ride. I really really enjoyed it. The cars were very comfortabel and the station actually looked like a subway station. The lift was unique, reminded me of giant drop with fast in the mid section and slow at the top. I think it should have been darker, you could see the track at some points. The scenery was fantastic. The tunnel with more "haha"s was really really cool, startled me a lil bit. And the grand finale with the truck and the motorcycle was really cool. The ride part was a lot of fun, 4.5/5
Overall, i liked it, but not worth the wait. 6.5/10
well I rode it for the first time today and a hour and a half wait it was so so. The lift was quick, alot of quick turns, no spins like ragin cajun, but that one drop and they took your pics, that was a perfectly placed spot. I would ride it again but not more than 30 min. 7/10
I think they could've done better with the sceneory. Pre show was good. Too many six flags commercial of the same one.
I went on it first thing in the morning. After 15 minutes I was on with no annoying commercials while waiting, but oddly Kelly Clarkson music playing. So much for atmosphere. But I have to agree with everyone, not such a great ride. You really have to experience the ride and theming seperately which isn't a good thing. But now that The Dark Knight is here (for now) and we all agree isn't that great, what would you do to improve it?

So I went on it for a second time and enjoyed it slightly more. But for some reason it seemed like there was more theming. I definitely didn't remember the tunnel with the haha's from the first time but I don't know how I could have forgot about it because I thought that part was sweet. So the ride is kind of entertaining but definitely owuld be more fun with a shorter wait. Also everyone completely blew through the pre-show room again. They probably should make it more obvious that the room is a pre-show room.
^I think the timing of the doors has a lot to do with the people blowing through the room. I've been in there a couple of times myself when they did that. Each time that I went in the pre-show, it was different as one time the entry door and the exit door for the preshow were open at the same time and then the people just thought they could go on through. Then it was a time we came in the room and the exit was closed before the entry door was opened for us to come in, so people were prepared to stop (some ops would yell at you if you kept going, some of them didn't). So i guess it depends on the person controling the pre-show that time..
I haven't yet been on it. There is a huge chance I'm going Sunday and I'll ride it first thing. It sounds disappointing but I still have to ride it just to say I've been on all the coasters at my homepark and for credit! Themeing sounds some-what cool, pre-show room ok, ride itself sounds like it stinks. I'm still kind of looking forward to it but not completely. How long is the average wait if you get to the park before 10:00 and run to the ride?

Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades
I think it's an ok roller coaster, it isn't the best but I'm not bashing it like a bunch of people are when they get off it. Yes it could be a lot better with the themeing and that grey ugly box but that's just me, I find it to be ok. I remember when I said if it was anything like RC with the spinning I wouldn't go on it, I've been on it 5 times, it's still an ok coaster to me.
When I went on tuesday, we got there before 10:00 and they stoped us at the train bridge (like it was before they started the show at the carousel) and Superman or dark knight were open but when they did we walked through the lines straight into the preshow, and didn't have to wait until we got to the small line part that is after the preshow, and that took 5 minutes, and we were not at the front of the line.
I plan on going tomorrow on saturday and one of my gp friends warned us not to ride it as it is a "five year old ride, where five year olds would fall asleep". So I did want to ride it to get what I think of it but all of my GP friends tomorrow will just want to pass it bye and not really know what its really like.

There is nothing wrong with the chain lift, but there is a reason as to why it's running with reduced capacity...It has to do with the proximity of the trains. It makes sense if you pay attention to the track as you head up the lift.
I did not see anything at all. I remember no Batmans and no motorcycle.
I do remember the tuneel of "hahas" but thats pretty much it. Also, was there supposed to be fire? Because I remeber seeing the Joker's minions or something holding a rocket launcer type thing that look like it would shoot fire.
hmmm...

Since I rode it 5 times the day it opened and never had to wait in the huge line, I enjoyed it a lot. Every time I went on it my boyfriend showed me things I missed. I saw pretty much everything... For the most part I plan on running there in the morning. I can't wait to go back on it.

Don't want to lose any hands do we? Molhaulland Madness at DCA is currently running 9 cars. There is less than a 3 second interval with the car between the certain spot on the track and the car on the lift. Hopefully SFGAm can figure out a safe interval to add more cars.
