Shiekra was nothing special in my opinion. I'd rather see some flats installed since we're sort of lacking in that area these days if it came down to a dive machine or something that wasn't a coaster.
and actually it has great compactly ... i mean for poopy sake sheikra has two separate loading platforms!
I didn't understand a word of that, so If you did you get the award for riddiling things out, not to be confused with ritalin things out because that would just mean you're abusing your perscription...
Why do we fall, Master Bruce?
So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
I would have preferred Six Flags Great America keep SWF and simply expand it this year or something. It was nice having 4 water rides. There was always one with a shorter line. Now, with Vu and SWF gone, the rides close by will be that much packed. Uggghhh, I would have worked on SWF over the season and re-open it in 2009. I don't know why Six Flags called it a ''insect pool".
hey for those of you who want a dive machine this is great!
i found this on tpr
On the Dive Machine rumors for 6FGAm, those were compounded when Park President Hank Salemmi addressed A.C.E. at NoCoaster: He said to observe that DejaVu and Splashwater Fall's footprints are side-by-side, and to see something connect them in 2009.
TPR = Red Dot City -or- Theme Park Revenue I really hope its not another B&M. Personally I would much rather see a custom wooden coaster then another (clone and force less) B&M.
ZacSpin or Ball Coaster Another space saving and eye catching coaster from Intamin. I'm not saying get one but its very different. It looks very fun and very short. Alot of people want a B & M Dive Coaster but They should get some kind of Intamin coaster. We have enough B & M only one Intamin Coaster. We all know they probably will never buy a Vekoma Coaster again. They could put this ZacSpin Coaster or Ball Coaster right where space shuttle America is when they take it out.
Ok, I don't know if this was posted or even if this means anything, but the factory in Ohio that manufactures B&M Coasters is currently making a dive track. Only 1 confirmed B&M next year so far and it's a flyer at Sea World in Orlando. So where is this track heading then? To my knowledge there has only ever been 1 coaster manufactured at this U.S. plant that went overseas and all others were for U.S. parks. So there is a 99.9% chance that this track is for a U.S. park. With that said, Great Adventure and Us are the only 2 parks I have heard rumors for the Dive, so only time will tell. To be honest, it does seem kind of early to making track for a coaster for next year......doesn't it?
While I'd love a great flat, I'd also love a new, more thrilling coaster. I'm completely happy with what the park has to offer, it'd just be a nice addition.

screamscape wrote:(4/16/08) A quick correction on my earlier post about that new red B&M track in Ohio. My sources have corrected me, claiming that it does appear to be Dive Machine track after all, and from the look of the lift hill (especially piece #9) it is up the upright variety and not inverted style track. So unless they’ve got an interesting trick up their sleeves yet to be revealed, this may not be for SeaWorld after all. Apparently the Ohio plant does create track now to be shipped out across the globe, so we’re not limited to this being a North American project either, but I’ve still got a hunch this could be for SeaWorld after all… simply because no one else is really ready to receive track just yet. You can also find a few more photos from the same series

It's not to early to be making coaster track. Also, another park strongly rumored to get a B&M is Kings Island. It's all but confirmed for that park except an official press release from the park.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.
I think people are complaining about TDK too much. Wouldn't you rather have TDK than nothing at all? I think we should be happy with what we have and hope for something bigger next year.
Whatever happens, all in all we do need another big coaster. We got two mouse coasters back to back (coaster wise), and the last major thrill was "Superman Lame Flight". I'm not saying we should spend $30,000,000 on another big coaster. But maybe a wooden coaster because the thrills have been lacking at the park...now even more with DejaVu gone.
So what would they honestly do? Keep taking thrills without adding more? OUR parks emphasis is on families already, unlike some other Six Flags parks which haven't gotten there yet. Now that they have taken a few years to bring the park up to the "family" level, its time to put some thrill back it. Look at SFStl. They have gotten a family coaster and now "Evil Knievel" a year later. So don't say Six Flags doesn't do coasters back to back. Also, don't say that we would have too many wooden coasters....SFStl has three now, the same amount SFGAm would have if we did get a new wooden coaster.
It almost makes me sad to see SFGAm going further and further down, almost as if to bring the park down to the standards of the other SF parks. And another sad thing is the fact that we have NO competition. SF knows we don't anything big to attract people...because people have no where else to go. Thats also why all the other SF parks reduced admission while ours is still sky high.
Its a business, yet at times its playing fair to the consumers of SFGAm. In my mind, the Corp is taking advantage of us knowing we have no where else to go...we're the "test rats".
^^ Six Flags pisses me off so much! They are talking about how they need to be "more family oriented" when they keep loading up SFMM and SFGADV with mega coasters (kingda ka, tatsu, el toro) and then theres just the rest of us... (SFOT, SFGAM, SFFT, SFSTL, SFDK, SFNE, SFOG, SFKK).
But yea, I bet that new Dive Coaster is going to Kings Islands, Cedar Point, Universal Studios, or SFGADV. (magic mountain is supposed to be getting SFNE's DK)
