Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I am sure some others here have seen it (especially the ones that went to the Chrysler event).Drove by the park tonight after dropping my daughter off and was like WOW!! The red lights glowing on the Eagle are pretty cool. Gives the Eagle an erie look to it.Looking forward to FF.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

I must have missed it by a hour or so. I drove by it around 6, but it was still daylight out. They have the 4 spiders up on the helix though.

I was trying to hold off on that. Oh well. They tested a few of the lenses that maintenance fabricated a few weeks ago and liked the effect, so they built enough for all of them. It's a neat effect. You think you guys are excited about going to FF, I'm excited about working it!

greatamerica2003Since the lighting effect was a success, you should make a pitch to the park to create red, white, and blue lighting for the Eagle next year. With what this country has been going through and the fact that this coaster symbolizes this great countries bird and colors, a red, white, and blue color scheme glowing on this coaster would be magical and patriotic.

Thats awesome. I posted this in the other fright fest topics because my friend said he saw them installing the lights and I really didn't believe him, but it's true.

Why wasn't it lite up this morning around 5:45? It looked like plain old Eagle to me...

If AE was refurbished its slogan could be the Patriot's coaster. Yes I know the helix were replaced but there is alot of work to be done on it.

You know the lights that usually shine on Eagle at night? They put red lenses over them so they are red lights now instead of white. So when the red lights hit the white structure it looks like the Eagle is Red.
