So, from now on, the park is going to close early if the forcast calls for light rain? Not heavy rain or lightning, but light rain? Ok. I'm going to write that down.
You ALL should know the park CAN and DOES close WITHOUT notice.
Oh we know. This isn't the first time this has happened to many of us. It's just that park has never decided to close roughly 1 hr. or so after it opened. What's the point? Don't open at all if you're going to do that. It's completely asinine.
They LOSE money too by only operating for 2 hours.
How is that my problem? Sure, I want them to make money, but in the amusement park business, you have to accept there are some days where you lose money. It's the price of doing business.
You KNOW on a day with estimated high winds/rain the park CAN and probably WILL close earlier if they decide the attendance is NOT worth the costs of staying open for a few more hours. Anyone who lives far from the park should NOT go there when the weather is forecasted as windy or rainy because you KNOW what can happen.
Ok, #1, yet again, for the last time, THE HIGH WINDS HAD NOTHING TO DO WITH ANYTHING. #2, it was LIGHT RAIN, not HEAVY RAIN, not LIGHTNING. But yeah, they did close because attendance did not justify staying open. And if everyone that lived far away stayed home when the forecast was for a windy or rainy day, the park would be dead on every day that it rained. I doubt the park wants that.
Only people who live close and have a season pass should go whenever since crowds are tiny on bad weather days. Again, I fully defend the park. These things do NOT happen often. They lost money just like you did. Don't let one bad day ruin a great season that just began.
So, I'm supposed to feel money because this huge cooperation lost money? Do you want me to feel sorry for the oil company's next?

And it's so easy for you, and everyone else who WAS NOT THERE TODAY, to say don't let this day ruin a great season. Great season? This is how my SFGAm season started, and if I was in my right mind, it should be how it ends. This type of customer service is about as bad as it gets IMHO.
