Whaaat? No lockers? What about all that crap I see in the water below by the ride? Every ride needs lockers just not for $1 each but 25 cents. Oh, and did any1 realize besides me that their are a few versions of V2 at other non-Six Flags parks? Nothing better than V2, that awesome energy that happens right away is brilliant. You don't have time to scream...I'm just surprised there are no lockers. TDK lockers but no love for V2? Isn't that advertisement box close to V2?

Yea there is a V2 in Valley Fair but its called Venom. And the line for V2 foes really fast but don't they still have the boxes in the stations where you can put your stuff.
The lockers were put in because of high reports of theft. V2 does not have lockers because it does not have as high of a risk of theft, as there is only one train.

Theft is not the issue, although it does happen the lockers were put in place in increase capacity and speed of the ride lines. Despite V2 only having one train it still gets fairly good capacity.
Another factor that maybe Raginbullfan or someone else who has ran the ride can chime in about is its cool down time. All that energy and that heat needs time to cool down. Don't quote me but I believe its around one min of cool down time every cycle, which gives riders just enough time to put all of their items in the bins and sit down and get their restrain checked and send the train.
If v2 is anything like Wicked Twister.. which I would assume so the "cool off" time is 60 seconds.
The train launches, cycles, does five "swings" and then comes to a hault in reverse, it then "positons" its self back in the station, releases it's own harni locks, then starts its "cycle start" countdown in the bottom left of the WT control panel... usually starting at 59 or 60. After... 20 seconds I think.. the harnesses relock on their own, and manually need to be released if needed. V2 operators are allowed to open one car at a time I believe. At Wicked Twister, we had to reopen, and recheck every single harness at once even if only one needed to be opened. All harnesses are checked. You then get the "high clear" from your buddy ride op down at the "unload 3" position and that means you are clear to launch the train. You finish up your speil with an "All clear" or a "Clear for Launch" and cedar point rule... you must count down from three.
"Launching in, three!" "two!" *press and hold dispatch until train if off of the launch* "one" Train cycles,.... and repeats.
Funny thing is is that there is a two second delay on Wicked Twisters "Dispatch" button. You need to press it on 2, to get it to launch at the corrrect time. Is this how V2's "Dispatch Cycle" works?
What's really funny, is that you think I'm from the GP (General Public). When indeed, I most likely know far more about the coaster, as I've rode it multiple times.
^I agree. I prefer Wicked Twister, only because the holy s***! factor on the back spike (sitting in the very last seat) was very high! V2 has some good qualities, like the brake on the back spike.
I love the back car on v2. I was really disappointed that the back 2 rows where roped off on opening day. I also went on Sunday and those rows were still closed.
I cant believe how much it cost to run V2 but it is an amazing ride and back to the topic of lockers, you would think v2 would be a first to get the lockers just because of the simple fact that 90% of the ride is 90 degree vertical. Isn't there only two other versions V2 in California and Wicked Twister. But I personally like them because they seem like safe rides especially it being an Intamin. But you can notice the giant fans tucked under the track. One thing I never get though is why the Magnets make that screeching noise after the train is completely slowed down at the end.?
Well yeah but there are really only 3 designs if you think about it. The Impulse Coaster at Great America is the same design as Steel Venom, Voodoo, and Screaming Condor, they are all the same version but have different paint schemes. Wicked Twister is it's own design itself just by having a twisted back spike. Discovery Kingdom's has its own design because of the shortened height and the angled first spike. So really if you think about it there are only 3 versions of the Impulse Coaster by Intamin.
