Washington Street Entrance

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

I heard that Saturday this entrance was open. Is it true this will be open from now on? Cause if so, this would make it really easy for me to get to, and from, the park since I have to ride a bike. My current route is like 2 miles or so( from Woodlake Apartments, across Washington, down 21 where the employee entrance is located to Grand, then up Grand to SFGAM). Lots of hills in my current route that I'd love to avoid.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

So, was it open Sunday? Will it be open after that? I think I'll call the park and ask cause I really hope it stays open on operating days. It would make my life easier when going and coming from the park.

I went through it too, but from previous years, they will prbably close it soon. They always have it open for workers and inspecotrs to go through there.

I've never gone through that entrance before. I don't really know if it'd be much more convenient for me, as I have a long drive anyways...

The Washington St. entrance has been open for years now and should be open all season.

My question is was there 2 or 1 attendents taking money at the toll Booth :?:
Did they step-up like this Right lane- front Lot/ Left Lane- Back Lot
All wisconsin traffic will be pushed to use this entrance via exit off RTE. 21. Photo on the Tollway

I use the Washington entrance all the time, as I live off Washington. Its always open.

As far as 1 or 2 people collecting in the tolls, I am not sure. I didn't get there till 3pm and there was only one person in there.

If you were heading north towards the park, and wanted to use the Washington Street entrance, which exit would you take off of the Tollway? I'm looking at a map, and it doesn't show a turnoff at Washington Street.

^ Use the Route 120 Exit if you are going north on I-94. I've attached a map to show you where to go.

You cannot exactly see the exit on the map that I attached due to the 800x600 image size limit. But, I hope you get the general idea.

2193

Exit Route 120 East towards Waukegan. Turn left at the first stop light, which is O'Plane Road. Take that to Washington Street, and turn left. Follow Washington Street to the park.

I will add that the bridge over I-94 at IL 120 is now under construction and will be for a few months. Once that is complete, Washington Street between Milwaukee Ave (IL 21) and US 41 will be under construction.

I heard from another employee that Washington street entrance isn't going to be open all season, which is the one I used on the 26th because I started for the employee entrance by mistake.

^Thanks a lot Brian for that info. Do you think it'll still be open in July?

Employee info is about as reliable as the tabloids.
