Park map 2008

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

When in the world will that be finally out? I wonder what will fill Deja , SWF's spots? The park should have left Deja Vu and Splashwater Falls for 2008 alone and take them down later in the off-season and then announce a new coaster/water ride will be put in place. There is more than enough space in theat area.

R.I.P. Deja Vu (2001-2007)
Best coaster ever that was not appreciated enough :(

Déjà Vu's spot will have the 3 Point Basketball challenge game added, the rest most likely filled will trees. (That won't really exist...)

As for Splash it'll most likely be trees as well, just surrounded by the raceway track.

in my opinion I think the Map will show the lake that Splashwater used but the ride will be removed.

yeah, the past 2 seasons they've had the poster sized maps, they hand them out at the parking booth, though if you have a parking pass sometimes they ask sometimes they don't. Can always request one though.

And on Closing Night they typically let you grab stacks of them from Guest Relations. I remember Closing Day 2006 I got out with about 30 of them by the day's end.

I've got them in a box with a bunch of other SFGAm memorabilia. Eventually I'll probably eBay some of them.

Yeah, I have a stack of the park info maps, and the poster maps. After closing day (07) we went to Taco Bell and they had a billboard and little stand of discount Fright Fest tickets. We asked if we could take it and they were like "the park is closed" and we told them it was closing day. So then they let us have them...along with the billboard thing.

It's funny seeing all of the trees that don't exist in Vu's and Splashwater Fall's spot.

I will say this for the last time I promise...Six Flags should NOT have removed both Deja Vu and Splashwater Falls the same year. What a waste of space. That area is so dead now and boring if it weren't for Demon it would be really bad. Splashwater Falls is virtually in every Six Flags park still why did we have to lose ours this year with Vu. Funny that probably there are not going to be any trees in that area for a while still. Does any1 know what is left of SWF?

When will the park plant all those non-existant trees at Vu and SWF? What will happen to the area where the water used to be at SWF? How will they cover that up? Will the queue be gone too by opening weekend?

I've never thought about what is going to happen to the que. However, I highly doubt any trees will ever get put in that place.

Trees are just on the map so there's no blank spot. Vu's spot may just be one big patch of grass come June. Picnic anybody?

Frolic Field

It would be nice though if they planted some trees and made a temp path with benches and shade. That way people would have another place to eat.

That would be pretty cool! Also, they should add a path to the other side of the park as well, in that area. Thus opening up a middle area so people don't have to walk millions of miles to get from one side of the park to the other. If they don't want people seeing the back area, then just make it a covered bridge that goes there. That is something I've always wanted.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

I swear one year they had that, but then put up a fence and those trampolines.

There never was a path in the middle, and most likely never will be. The park is designed to have a circular flow pattern.

The central service corridor is the road down the middle of the park, it is critical to park operations and cannot be closed for a path.
