Okay, not to chew you out specifically, but this concept is really driving me nuts! For the last time coaster nuts, NO ONE other than us will realize that it's "just another mouse." Even to us, it's our park's FIRST indoor coaster, FIRST coaster with a preshow experience, FIRST coaster to be themed to this extent, and FIRST of this kind of Wild Mouse!!! Seriously, I don't understand how some still can't comprehend the uniqueness of this kind of attraction to our park!
To add to the actual topic, however, i think the days this ride comes down to a walk-on wait, that it will be rethemed to something more current of the times (whenever this is to happen). However, i guarentee you a decent wait at this one longer than Superman, and definitely for the next 5 years.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
^There not that dumb, they will see that there are only 4 person cars. And the motions will be almost exactly the same. The left turn, right turn, left turn, right turn, ect. Then little dip, another dip, then right turn, left turn, right turn, ect.
completely agree with trailblazer tony no one is gonna know what is inside that house except us and they will be satisfied with what's in there, but i'm not sure if DK will be enough to console those people tha come to the park wanting to ride deja vu and realizing its not there
I don't think in the end people will care about Deja Vu. True, Vu was far more for the adult crowd but everyone wh came to the park the last 6 years knew how unreliable it was. The Dark Knight will be a hit with families and any fans of the movie coming out July 25th. Also, many will want to check out Great America's FIRST indoor coaster especially because of that huge building and being next to SUF which has the most people in line.
i think this is because SFNE has not obtained the proper permits to build the ride
It's back up. It says "Coming to 3 Parks" and SFNE is on the list. I think that they're still having trouble though. Does anyone have any new pics of our TDK? I'm glad to see that one's getting up without any complications.
13 - GateKeeper 14 - Millennium Force 15 - Enchanted Tales with Belle
Raining pretty hard today, But I drove by the park and saw TDK was 3/4 walls up plus roof on. The Track section is still sitting in the parking lot! It coming along at good now
^Definitely! And as I look out my window, I'm really looking forward to spending rainy days on this thing!!! Thanks for the construction update, i bet they are happy they got the roof up already!

I really hope that the outside of the building has themeing like graffiti or like a gotham sign. It would look very lame if it was just kept like it was. Any one know if there is going to be painting on the exterior?
ive seen blueprints somewear on the web of another dark knight coasters (think it was sfgadv) building being painted as a city skyline. Anyone else see those blueprints, i cant remember the site i saw them on.
I was looking through the sets of blueprints i have saved and didn't notice any reference to the outside except the front elevation of the enterance (Theater Royale). Now, by looking at it, the pannelling on the wall seem to match the kind that is on the building right now....which would make me think that it won't be painted, i hope so though, cause it's kind of an ugly gray....

I for one am looking forward to this coaster and hope that it meets the hype or being a decent coaster with some very good special effects.
I just hope that a ride like this which will have a low capacity is run with all the cars possible from the opening of the day, as people, escpecially ones with smaller kids are not likely to handle the wait times the ride will have when it is even semi-busy. And hopefully it wont be part of the pay to skip ride progam.
I rode up there today and saw for sure that more than one wall is up. I have a picture just that I took it on my cell and I don't know how to upload it.
I post this early in this topic outside of TDK Building. This will be use at SFNE and Maybe SFADV but probably not here with extensive use of Theater Royale re-theaming taken place right now! Flash pass will put in and set-up like in the blueprints but not be used 1st year or 2 like superman was like when it open! Exit of TDK will go join Superman Exit and go through on-ride photo and merchandise shop. That going to be a Bottle-neck! Queue house holds 600 ppl and I can see it extend to train tracks easily on Busy Day. About 200 Lockers setup for loose Articles. That what in been seeing at other park photos for Coasters. A grouper most like be there for ride efficiently. That all for Now!
i think this is because SFNE has not obtained the proper permits to build the ride

[Six Flags New England Announces Glow In The Park Parade for 2008
Six Flags New England announced today that due to a series of unforseen delays, The Dark Knight Coaster will not open in 2008 and an all-new attraction, The Glow in the Park Parade, will make its debut in early summer.
"Given what we always knew was a challenging construction schedule, we have been proceeding along a parallel track with a contingency plan for the 2008 season and we're very excited to announce Glow in the Park — a phenomenal nighttime extravaganza that will blow our guests away," said Six Flags New England President Larry Litton.
Glow in the Park is the brainchild of world renowned creative director Gary Goddard, the mastermind behind a long list of major attractions including the Amazing Adventures of Spiderman, Star Trek: The Experience and the Jurassic Park River Adventure at the Universal theme parks. Goddard, who also designed The Georgia Aquarium as well as numerous attractions in Las Vegas and Hollywood, has enlisted one of Cirque Du Soleil's premiere composers, Benoit Jutras, to create the music for the parade. For float designs, the internationally acclaimed conceptual parade designer Raul Rodriguez was commissioned. Michael La Fleur, whose resume includes artistic coordinator for Celine Dion's "A New Day" in Las Vegas and Imagineer for Disney, will create fluid choreographed numbers for the Glow in the Park performers.
That sucks for SFNE, but it also shows that Six Flags is confident that the Glow in the Park Parade can be dupicated without losing it's charm, and it probably means that other no-touch parks like Us and SFFT may be getting a version of it in the near future. Our Night Parade is not good enough, Make our night parade our day Parade and get us Glow in the Park!
Of course it's terrible that this piece of land will remain dormant for SFNE this year, but hey...we've had four rides removed in the last two years, and nothing to replace them so I can't feel terrbly sorry for them. I guess it's probably better to keep the expansion plans open?
Why do we fall, Master Bruce?
So we can learn to pick ourselves up.
