I dont think it is worth it. I mean, $35 for lunch and ERT of Raging Bull and Viper. In my opinion....

-I can get lunch cheaper out of the park

-Q & A is poitless because its going to be the same stuff as No Coaster Con

-ERT for only 1 hour doesnt make it worth it. You can get your own ERT early mornings and late nights Sundays in May.

-I will still go to the park that day...but $35, even with me being an ACEr, doesnt make sense.

Now, Im not saying others wont enjoy it though. It still sounds like a fun event.

I think I will go to the park that day and hang out, then at lunchtime I'll go eat at Golden Corral, then go back to the park and brag about my awesome food rather than eating the foodlike substance SFGAm serves in their catering dept. Total cost to me will be like $15 vs. $40 and will be just as good basically. Can live without an hour of ERT on coasters I've ridden literally hundreds of times (mostly during other ERT's) :)

and ERT is Exclusive ride Time. Happens generally before the park opens or after it closes. Ride is closed to the General Public but open for event attendees.

I'm sure I'll go anyway but this is the first ACE sponsored event I can recall where there isn't a discount for being a season pass holder. Usually on regional events like this it's cheaper with a pass.

As an example, Spring Fling at Six Flags over Georgia, which I go to almost every year, is half-price with a season pass. It is a higher priced event though since there is both morning and night ERT.

I'm not really complaining, I guess. I'm glad SFGAm is doing something and hopefully this can persuade the present management to do more events in the future.

havent been to spring fling in a few years, but that was an awesome event the few times I've been there.

Only regional event that I think was better than Spring Fling is probably actually Coaster-Palooza at SFGAm back in 99. a 3 day regional event, was cheap, had 2 hours of ERT every morning and 2 hours every night. I think I only got off of Bull once in those 2 hours only to use the bathroom.

Would it kill them to hire a Graphic Designer? :)

Maybe something a little more professional / creative might get more people interested in attending... Just my thoughts!

Hint Hint - Ask me! :)

If there was a discount for season pass holders I would consider it. But like others have said it is not worth the extra money to go and considering the next day is Mother's day and we all know that it is ERT all day!

I would also agree with the comments listed above.
IMHO it is too much money for what you are getting. I was hoping for a event like the one that was held when Superman opened several years ago.
But with no season passholder discount and only offering 1 hr of ERT on 2 coasters, and then throw in a medicore SF meal(now if it was your choice at Johnny Rockets it would be much better)and a talking session with pr people, I just done find value in the current offerings on the flyer.

Now if they would have held off till after The Dark Knight coaster had opened and offered some ERT on a new ride, it would have been better.
