Dark Knight coaster confirmed for SFGAm in 2008

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby BrianPlencner on March 14th, 2008, 10:27 pm
Did anyone else find it odd that the descriptions next to the pictures do not match up to the actual picture?

For example: One of the captions says "Inside Theatre Royale the construction has begun. The large steel studs that are being framed will be the structure for the pre-show room."

The picture directly to the left of this is NOT the inside of Theatre Royale, but a shot showing some work on the foundation of the building for TDK! :D In fact, there are NO pictures on that page showing the inside of Theatre Royale.

Sure, I'm glad that we have more updates, but I would think the descriptions would line up or follow the pictures that were posted.

The new pics on screamscape are awesome! the Dark Knight looks better every time! With it being indoors, at least bad weather will never close it. Looks like they just need to put the thing up since verything seems to be at the park already.

^That could change. After CP let Disaster Transport deteriorate, they can't run that while it's raining. Hopefully Six Flags does a better job with upkeep.

I agree, the pics on Screamscape were the best we've seen yet! Let's hope the source that leaked that to them keeps it up!

Dark Knight has gone Vertical! These were taken from a hill near the entrance gate, and at the entrance gate.

I have two things to say:
1. FINALLY
2. There's still no way it is opening on Opening Day.

^They still have over a month, and once the building is up, any adverse weather won't slow down putting the coaster and theming in.

I still think it's a possibility.

And they can have two crews working on both the track and the building/theming at the same time. Its just a mouse, it wont take that long.

I stopped by South Park on my way home from work around 5:30 PM. They did more work on the building for the new ride. I had my camera, but due to the position of the sun, I did not get any pictures. So, this wekend if someone has the chance to go out to South Park, you will be able to get some very good pictures of the new building.

I can't wait to see the look on the GP'ers faces when they see how the theater was transformed into the waiting and preshow area.
