Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Just a few Ideas on parade's and shows etc.

1. Merge the Ideas of day parade and night parade into a new day parade.
2. Make a new night parade allong the lines of spectromagic.
3. Keep GMH a Music hall with live entertaiment and singers.
4. As for marching bands, make it a fund raiser oppertuninty for area Middle and High Shool Marching bands. Have each band play for a day or a week or a week end and raise money for their band. The band would probably jump at the Idea and it would probably be cheeper for six flags than paying an inhouse marching band. Plus, the families of all those band students would probably come to the park for the day meaning a boost in attendance.

So we've established that an improvement to theming is a fundraising marching band program for the park. That's great, but, anything else?

ummmmmm, I know its been said already but I do like the idea of having fountains in the reflection pool. Also, I'd like to see a park with plaques of all the past rides sincre the beginning. Maybe in Hometown Park?...

That is a great idea. It's kind of like the TBtC (Turn Back the Clock) nights in baseball or other sports, except it would be all season. Maybe it could be in the Pictorium area with a cool movie history to go along with the displays.

Ty. Or maybe at the entrance of rides, put the plaque. For example.

That's a good idea. If you've ever been to Yankee Stadium or Sox Park, you'll see the plaques and statues. I was thinking something like that in front of the carousel only without the statues. Maybe just a logo.

I really do like this idea. The "Amusement/Theme Park loving" GP could actually get a grasp of the history of this park while at it and enjoying it. Maybe it could be expanded too with old park maps, photos, and the like.

Wait a minute, brainstorm. How about puttin' them in the queue lines? Hm? Example being S:UF. Starting early on ya see how Orleans Place progressed through the years. Every turn has a pic, park map, and info plaque. For this area they could have pics of Gulf Coaster, Theatre Royale, Ru Le Dodge et al. I would have included Power Dive and Cliffhanger but those would be included at Cajun because it is closer to the actual spot of those rides. Columbia would work as well as that could be general history of the park.

AND.... As long as SSA is going to be SBNO for at least the time being. Gut it and put a mini artifact museum in there, I'm sure there are cars, tracks, hubs, motors, etc... left behind.

Any other ideas for this historical plan?

Kind of goes along with my idea. I'd have a memorobilia shop from past years with old T-shirts, track nuts and bolts, and other cool stuff.
