Deja Vu officially dead

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby tp41190 on February 16th, 2008, 1:49 pm
8 years ago, it seemed like the ultimate coaster. And Six Flags was very proud of it when they released it.

Its too bad. Such a bad ass ride has to go away.

^ Yeah.. Agree 100%... That's when someone asked for evidence I was like, why do you need evidence? We all know that its coming down.... It will be torture to see our baby get torn down.

I have a pic I got today that shows part of Vu's loop missing and a crane:

The best spot to get pics of Vu and probably the hardest as well, is along I-94. With Washington you can get pics but it's a lot harder.

Edit: Not sure what the rules on images in posts are, like this one, so if this needs to be edited to just a link, then please let me know. Thanks!
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

Sorry, but I gotta say, good riddance to bad rubbish. Ride may have been good from a rider standpoint, but really with the percentage of uptime it had, it was time for it to say it's goodbyes and take a hike.

Not FParker, he's our guide to european parks! :)

When i was there on saturday i took quite a few attempts at pictures and couldn't get much better than that. I found, with a good zoom lens, the business park to be the best place to get the pics. Oh, and whoever was at the business park and climbed the hill, thank you so much for the shoe prints, thanks to you, i kept dry socks for the wake ;)
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(

I'll make sure to get an extra detailed TR of the DV in spain to make up for that :)

If it's still there in 2009 of course and if it's open (I'm not really expecting to ride it, but would be a nice bonus)

more pics...

Half the loop is gone! I'm gonna have to go take some more pics tomarrow. I can't wait till the towers start to come down, it's gonna be so much easier to get pics of that then it is of the loop.

Maybe there's a slight chance that it will get put up at Silverwood in time.
