No, it was until the end of the 2001 season. It is now being reconstructed at SFKK.

That's alright corey, I'm no where near the park either! Maybe I'll camp out right outside of the park this summer in the parking lot.

Yeah that would be a little strange... but when is there a time that us coaster enthusiasts aren't strange?

Most of the time I'm not strange! (I don't think...) I wouldn't really do something like that!

Oh come on, you know you want to camp out in CP's parking lot so you can hang out there! That's what SFGAm is like to me!

Are you nuts??? I would NOT camp out in a parking lot... Unless there was a camper, and it was like a park organized event which would never happen anyway! I wouldn't go breaking trespassing laws just to camp out, which would be totally stupid anyway! If you're that desperate get a hotel that's really close to the park, and stand at the gates in the morning just so you can be the 'first' one in!

You know, I was totally kidding... but the hotel I stayed at when I came to the park was just like I was camping in the parking lot. I could see DV, RB, the Sky Trek Tower, and a few other rides from my window. It was really awesome!

I don't know these days though. Seeing that you don't know me and there are some pretty insane people out there that would go to all kinds of crazy means to do something really thrilling to themselves like that I don't think you could rule anything out quite like that. But yes, I was being sarcastic! :D

I know that this an old topic and most of the users arent even active anymore, but it seems like a great topic to revive. The most thrilling ride to me has always been Triple Play with the diving motion of it. I still ride it almost every time I go there, and I almost got to ride it in the pouring rain, but it was closed before I could.

my fav non coaster was always sky whirl, though not much of a thrill. If it had to be a current ride, I guess probably Revolution, not necessarily cause it's good now, but it has potential (actually it is good right now for fright fest), also it's the most modern flat in the park being a design from like 1990. (all the newer Zamperla flats are all old old designs).

Though I guess you can call Giant Drop modern, though the ability to stick over 600 sensors on a single drop ride should disqualify it right there, it's modern-ness is overruled by retardation :)

I grew up with Shockwave. Never rode it due to height issues, but it was always that big blue roller coaster that I wish I rode. I really want to head over to KK to ride "Tidal Wave".

And we are clean for deaths. We are a safe park. The whole gum chewing thing on Raging Bull actually turned out to be an inflamed heart. That's the only death in the park I think. Another girl collapsed from a heart problem and went into cardiac arrest I think near Spacley's Sprocket Rockets.

Has anyone heard the rumors about how the girls hair got caught on giant drop and her scalp got ripped off? I am pretty sure that's not true. And everyone thinks the KK accident with Superman Tower of Power was on Giant Drop. And people also thing The Edge accident was on Giant Drop. I tell my friends they aren't true, and they are like SHUT UP, you don't know what you are talking about. Like, they full blown believe it all. There was another one about AE's brakes not working and the train crashing. Is that one true?

It was a brain anuersym. There have been a few ride related accidents at SFGAm like the Edge, Shockwave, and Demon getting stuck upside-down. The Edge was extremely popular before the accident then after it re-opened no one would ride it, so it was moved to a different park. Demon obviously is still running and popular, and Shockwave ended up being removed. The only one that resulted in serious injuries was the Edge.

There was another one about AE's brakes not working and the train crashing. Is that one true?

No, or at least not a severe one. There may have been "bumps" in the Marriott days as there were quite a few on Whizzer, but now that the rides run by a PLC that doesnt happen.

SFGAm doesnt have any stand-out flat rides to me, but they do have a very good collection of classic flats that they keep in very good condition. I guess Trailblazer would be my favorite removed flat since its one of the few that I rode and actually liked. Looping starships are just boring and uncomfortable to me, and SSA was a joke.

Look at the date when that was posted. I don't think that happened before that post was made.

I think your wrong. I remember a few years ago someone was riding Bull and choked on a piece of gum.

^ Once again, please, please read the dates on people's posts before telling them they are wrong. The post you quoted was made on January 21st, 2003. The death on Raging Bull did not happen until May 3rd, 2003. Also, the death was not caused by the gum. Although it was originally assumed that the girl had choked on gum, the autopsy revealed the actual cause of death to be a heart condition.
