I'm unsure but I think Spygirl might not be returning for 2008.

I've always thought a Show with Maybe 3 Local Comedians doing 10 minutes of family-friendly stand up would be an easy show to produce.

(Hint, Hint Shapiro you want to cut costs in Shows, this is a good way to do it.)

^Thank god.
I finally retired the Sarah Palin signature because she is now 100% irrelevant.

Color Me surprised, and annoyed at how fast six flags gave up. Why not try to improve a product that had real potential before ditching it...

Tip Top Club wrote:I think we can all agree that the general america themeing has been ruthlessly drowned throughout the years, county fair, and Yankee harbor are prime examples of this. I can only hope that whatever may happen to the plots of land that formerly held Deja Vu and Splashwater falls will be a return to the patriotic theme that the park is named for.

I think that we're all looking back with rose colored glasses on if we think it was really great to begin with. It wasn't bad, but I think the areas of the park were "more like guidelines" since even in the beginning, there was stuff which just didn't make that much sense. Hometown Square, County Fair and Orleans all seemed to have not completely thought through themes to them.

The themes really got better in my opinion during the Time Warner area, when everything added seemed to really be themed to the area it was in and the park in general slowly got better theming, but it's been downhill since then.

I wouldn't be surprised if everything eventually turns around that they try theming things to the areas they are in again, although I also don't really hold out a ton of hope for it.

I have to disagree that I think Orleans has an identity all it's own, but after Rue Le Dodge it gets a bit lost, and I imagine that will increase this year with TDK. And I think hometown fits it's theme well also, but You really have to be looking for it. Now county fair on the other hand has become such a mishmosh of themes that it's hard to discern what it is at all. Demon's Plaza, Farmers, Revy area, Wiggles, and Wolf Plaza all have completly different feels to them.

Are you referring to Spygirl?

What potential did it have? It wasn't a stuntshow, it was more of an acrobat show. I can get that entertainment watching the Jesse White Tumblers.

I wish they would bring the Batman Stuntshow back. Maybe not the original but bring the new version that is currently being done at SFMM.

My suggestion...make it a stunt show. I'm not talking the minor additions that happened over the years, but rather a complete overhaul.

I don't see a Mega, Massive Stunt Show for a few reasons.

- Shapiro wanting to cut costs
- The area being used for Sunday Concerts
- Bad Past Experience with Spygirl and Bad Stunt Shows
- You have to hire expensive Professionals
- Weeks of training for stunts

Thats why I suggested a Low cost, easy to produce, Stand Up Show.

I was thinking the same thing. Like other attractions, he'll be trying to cut costs.

Either that, or the Warner Bros. Western Stunt Show they had about 10 years ago would be awesome.

Wouldn't it make so much more sense to have a Wild West show in the ampitheater? It would be a lot more popular than spygirl.

Yeah it would be neat to have a gun show with salloons, an old hotel, bank, ect. and bad guys pop out and there is one good guy who does stunts and stuff as he's shooting.
Top 3 Steel Coasters: 1. The Incredible Hulk 2. Maverick 3. Dragon Challenge (Fireball)

Top 3 Wood Coasters: 1. The Beast 2. American Eagle (Red) 3. Hades

Yup. That would be awesome. Maybe an outlaw could shoot a gasoline barrel and it explodes or something. lol. Or, they could recreate Tombstone and the ok coral.

I wonder if Six Flags will follow suit with Cedar Fair with re-naming rides.

Cedar Fair didnt buy the rights to all the paramount, only reason they are changing so many names. I'm sure Camp Cartoon Network stuff will be renamed if not totally rethemed though.

Regarding Camp Cartoon Network's name change, I am pretty sure the individual rides will keep their old names. Despite what the name "Camp Cartoon Network" suggests, none of the rides are named after Camp Cartoon Network characters. They are named after Hanna-Barbera cartoons that just happened to appear on Cartoon Network many years ago.

Thats true. However, if Ricochet didn't exist, I'd like to see sprocket rocket re-named "Ricochet Rabbit" lol
