Not with the old trolley tracks there unless they plan to go over them...and we all see how great the eagle line looks going over Big red Cars so personally I vote nay...
Captain, don't shake the passengers up too much this time! Just giving them their money's worth!

I was trying to be funny. Sheesh, people, give it a rest.

Hasn't this been gone through a million times though -- BTR makes total sense in Yankee Harbor as the theme of Gotham of *any* section of the park, as Gotham is based on New York, which is about as Yankee and Harbor-ish as you can get.
The new location might work as a DC-esque land, however I do see it taking away from the overall idea of "Great America" as lands themed to different areas. Then again, I find the idea of almost everything in the "County Fair" section of the park. I mean, seriously -- Deja Vu (yup, the fair pulls out the giant inverted boomerang), Iron Wolf (why isn't this in Yukon where it would sort of make sense), Demon (there is so much wrong with this), Wiggles World (nothing screams the fair like the Wiggles do), Johnny Rockets (we've all seen them at fairs), the train (what fair has a train?) and so on. About the only things that make sense in that section of the park in my opinion are the food court, the games area and the fact there is a wooden coaster, even though it is 5 times bigger than most old time fair coasters.
It's hard to complain about Great America disturbing the "theme" of the park when it seems to have only really had a loosely tied together theme from the very start in many places. The new ride where it is will do okay, if only because having Superman move into New Orleans didn't make any sense either.
While it's sad to see the theming go, I'd prefer to get good rides that have no theming relative to the section of the park it's in rather than getting mediocre rides that are themed well. For example, the coaster guy said:

I'm glad that they have American Eagle the way it is, rather than a smaller scale one. I've actually always thought Eagle fit in well with County Fair.
Fairs have trains, those little kiddie trains. Anyways, I don't know about you, but the theming to Scream! is absolutely terrible and I can't even imagine that being at SFGAm like that. That is just pure laziness with the lack of theming and it can slightly effect the ride experience.
Universal Orlando Mechanical Engineer Marathon down, Goofy to go.
Cell phone.Ipod charging stations eh? Good way to make money. I still want to know what the eagle trains are gonna look like. Maybe it'll get a new logo too.

Six Flags has a locomotive running through it which is not in any way a kiddie train. I'd agree about Scream, but maybe you never rode Shockwave? It had the same "theming".
I don't think that it necessarily affects the ride experience much. Unless there is actually stuff done to interact with the terrain (a la Whizzer), it doesn't really change the ride. Raging Bull isn't that different from Scream / Shockwave. The only difference how I see it is how painfully dull it is to wait in line.
I think we can all agree that the general america themeing has been ruthlessly drowned throughout the years, county fair, and Yankee harbor are prime examples of this. I can only hope that whatever may happen to the plots of land that formerly held Deja Vu and Splashwater falls will be a return to the patriotic theme that the park is named for.

I hate to say it but I think that's a bit optimistic. The park's theming is about the last priority so it seems.

Eagle is not getting new trains.
The red side is getting 1 extensively rehabbed train, meaning new wood panels, new mechanical parts, new lapbars (they are the same kind of lapbars as all the other trains). The only actual appearance difference, other than everything looking new.

Oh, ok. Thanks for the info. Also, about the theming, I didn't mean ride theming, most of that is ok. I meant how they relate their attractions and restaurants to the themed areas.

So wait, does that mean there will be no more "cartoon network" characters in the park?
Also Southwest Rockin' Quarry is one of the stupidest name I've ever heard. The same for Crazy Buffetlo, that has to be the most forced pun I've ever heard.
