One big reason is that people do not know how to get out of the way of a giant trolley..the second they walk through the gates they switch off their brains. It was a safety hazard and by removing the trolley service, sfgam avoided future lawsuits if someone would possibly get hit.
Besides, these days people need to stop being lazy and get some exercise..
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
People arent worried about bells they are worried about getting to the next ride as fast as possible. Like previously stated, when they walk through the gates they turn of their brains.
Remember, there's nothing but air beneath the chair.
not only that, but the trolley does not go very far in the park. the trolley was there since the beginning, its not like its taking you around the whole park. i mean thats why there is a train really.
It's just for safety especially if a little kid walks in front of it because some parents don't even watch their children much. i'm not saying all parents do that though just some.

I can see why they wouldn't use the trolleys too because I remember being on floats on the trolley tracks in the nightly parade and the float drivers and the security people had the hardest time getting people to stand away from the floats. It's like they think the floats are made of foam and that they won't get hit. I seen one guy actually get picked up and moved to the side because he would have got hit if the action wasn't taken. So the trolleys not being used for transportation is totally understandable..
