Pretty sure what he was getting at is that in actuality DV is a pretty remarkable piece of engineering work and mechanically it's a pretty amazing ride that works pretty damn well for being designed like something out of the game Mouse Trap. It's other departments where the ride falters such as electrical and programming dept's.

This is the 1st I've heard of Deja Vu' being removed and really, I'm not surprised at all. I knew it was a matter of time before it was removed and here we are. Definetly sucks though. That was such a fun ride. As for signs of removal, my guess is it will be sometime late next season. And as for Silverwood getting it(if they are getting it), all I can say to them is good luck. Who knows, maybe they can make it work.
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

I Agree! Déjà Vu may have had problem after problem but it is more than an amazing thing! That's what I meant when I said "complicated". Although, I don't know much about how the ride works, I do know a little and from what I do know, it seems like a unique and complicated design and that is why I respect it.
I drove past the park yesterday. From what I could see, everything was still attached, including both cables...

Wow this is my first post in, well, a very long time. Vu was one of my fav rides. I got to ride it my last time sometime in June, front row ride, glad i got to ride it at least then.

^Yeah, I dont think it will be going anywhere anytime soon. And if it doesnt go till April...it will just be SBNO for the first few weeks of opening. I actually hope it is SBNO on opening day so that I can get some more pictures of the ride.
I think it was funny that everyone though it was going to be gone in the first 2 weeks after closing
I thought De'Ja Vu was one of the best rides in the park. The ride was exciting and sometimes took your breath away. My only complaint is I have never seen a ride down as many times as I have with this one. I swear it was down at least two to three times everyday I went. When ou went to the park it almost was like a birthday present when it was working, because when you went to the park you just knew it wouldn't be working. Yet I thought it was better than most of the rides in the park right now. My next prediction for rides being torn down is going to be The Eagle I really think this ride has sefved it's purpose since for some reason we can't get rid of the whizzer (protestors). I am for getting rid of the eagle and put a more innovative woodie there.

Can't get use to it maybe they should get use to low attendance. hink about the attendance at the park lately this will satisfy people for just now rides like raging bull satisfy for years.
Seriously, if this comes up again I'm going to go nuts.
The park is trying to balance all this stuff out now. We've gotten major coasters every other year or so in the past, now they need to bring the family stuff for now. Everything can balance out and be happy. It could be anywhere from a year to five years until our next BIG coaster. You need to learn that amusement parks cater to more people than just us, they need to cater to everybody.
That's funny because cedar point has very extreme rides but can balance both. Bring in extreme and still have family themes at the same time. Why can't this park do the same. Let me just ask this the park in california the one that is getting the renovation to make X2 why do they get all of these extreme rides, yet they also balance with a large chldrens and family area. Yet we get like mouse rides, space shuttle america, rides up for less than 5 years and torn down.
SFMM is not a balanced park at all, they have virtually no flat rides (a lot were SBNO and are now being removed). X2 is getting a large renovation because it needs it BADLY. The trains were far too big and chronically tearing apart requiring a lot of 1 train operation while the other train was being repaired, and the load/unload process took forever. The only thing SFMM is getting for "families" at the moment is Thomas Town, which really is just for small kids. The other kids areas are old and worn out and there are very few to no kiddie rides.
CP is having a lot of issues with their new Intamin rides and its not making guests happy. There is also very little to no family atmosphere at CP, its date city because its all thrill rides. Even though there are lots of flats up until this year they really have not added anything for kids in a long time. Parks now are starting to realize they cannot afford to keep building high maintenence thrill rides so often and are focusing on different things.
And SFGAm wouldnt be tearing down rides if they didnt have plans for those spaces. Period.

I wonder if you have anyone in your family that isn't too fond of thrill rides. My dad and brother hate thrill rides period. There's no chance of getting them on anything, and that's why we aren't out at Cedar Point a lot. They really have such a crappy time there. There is very very very very very little for them to do in the park, and the waterpark dosen't phase them much, as they are very fond of the Dells. This is also the reason we haven't gone to SFMM. Neither of those parks cater to families at all, and that's why you're seeing such a surge to get those areas in there. Also, if you look, SFMM was the same park that was going to be sold off a year or two ago. Seems like a great park now dosen't it?

Sure Cedar Point has a nice balance, but that is not what makes a difference. I would take the experience at the kids section at Great America over Cedar Point by a long shot. Great America ride-ops talk with the kids, smile, laugh, and gets the kids in the mood. Cedar Point ride-ops (kids sections) have the attitude as to "Why the hell do I have to work on this ride. I much rather be working at Dragster."
If it walks like socialist, quacks like socialist, smells like a socialist, .... it's a socialist. Hope, and change we can believe in.
I've noticed that I've been going with a letter motif in my posts recently, so why stop now.
A. Ceder Point, as SFGAm07 said, is not well balanced, sure there are some flats, but their overall diversity of entertainment pales in comparison to SFGAm's.
B. To RBull's post, the thing about the ops is that most of them who work at kiddie sections in SFGAm are thinking the same thing, like I'd rather be working at deja vu then wiggles world...but they are trained not to act like it. Which is what really matters.
Captain, don't shake the passengers up too much this time! Just giving them their money's worth!
