The park opens a week earlier than expected on Apr 26. I wouldnt expect big crowds for that day (doesnt look like the park is either, hours are 10-6). I would expect the next weekend to be pretty crowded, of course May crowds are always weather dependant.
The official TDK opening has not been announced yet, judging from what was advertised to season pass holders it is supposed to open memorial weekend.
Closing Day November 2.

Wow. This is the earliest SFGAm has ever got the schedule up. Opening weekend hours are 10-6 on Saturday 4/26 and 10-5 on Sunday 4/27.
Places where I've noticed cuts in hours:
May weekends, park closes an hour earlier on Sundays
Park open 10-7 the week after Memorial day, no Harbor
Following week, 10-8
Hurricane Harbor is 10-6 weekdays until July
September weekends are the same as last year
Fright Fest. They must have changed it because right now, the official website says Saturdays are still 10-10, and Sundays have been cut to 10-8 from 10-9 last year.
Due to Halloween falling on a Friday this year, there are 5 Fright Fest weekends with closing day on 11/2/08
Oh wow, it seems to be open earlier and later this year. As soon as the new year comes I'm going to search for someone to go with on April 26th.
Hey, can't start too early!
I remember back when the park regularly opened the last weekend of April, nice to see them get back to it, though you know it's probably a test sort of thing and because of that the weather is going to be crappy, attendance low and it will go right back to may

Yeah, hopefully opening day will be more for enthusiasts then the GP. Although it might be selfish to say but face it, there are just days that enthusiasts should be able to go and not be bothered by the GP. Like opening day this year was crowded, along with closing day. I mean, do you think the GP cant wait one more week to go on coasters...I'm sure they don't go through the same "withdrawals" like us.
I don't mean that they should close off the park to only enthusiasts. But since the park will open in April, that will mean not a lot of the GP will be there which will be nice for us.

Meanwhile the park is thinking:
"I wish we could just stop enthusiasts from coming and only have normal guests."
Last time the park was open on Halloween it was DEAD.... no pun intendid.
Yes, but also keep in mind that that was a last minute decision since I think Halloween was on a Monday...and since it's a Friday this year...I would imagine that whole last weekend...to be nuts!
Halloween might be nuts, but once the calendar says November people are gonna assume that Six Flags is closed for the season. I bet that sunday will be near empty.
