Rumblings about 2008

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

After reading ur previous post, you sounded like you make decisions, because you invest money in the park. Sure SFGAm listens to everyone, but make decions that will try not to harm anyone. None of the buinesses are be perfect. WDW is not perfect as well. Tip Top Club... Hmmm you don't have to belive me if you don't want to. I'm not spreading any rumors as well. And I do not have to tell you how I know some stuff.... There are Acers that know a lot, there are some employes that know a lot, and reverse. i will leave it to myself, soon you will see proof, sooner then the ride opens. And as for everything else why r u guys saying that SFGAm will get live tv shows? Where is that on the website? SO please don't write sh@it about Six Flags entertainment and TDK if u have no clue, on what's is comming... You will be surprised next year, but then you will look like idiots.
Six Flags Ameirca as the number 1 park at SFI.... this is JOKE!

I have to agree with you NO THEMEPARK IS PERFECT. Everyone of them have problems including big ones like WDW i.e. criminals, pedophiles working in the park. If you dont want to go to SFGA then dont go. SF is not forcing you to go. Some people do enjoy their day in the park however SF runs it. At least our park have stuff to do for all ages and TDK for 08 its better than nothing. So whatever SF do to compete and keep the park open is a good thing for everyone who goes to GA every season.

I have stock invested in the company.

Disney has no idea what they are doing when it comes to operating rides.

As long as The Dark Knight turns out to be themed (and run well), and the Grand Music Hall shows actually shows some LIVE entertainment next year, I will be mostly content. The removal of Theatre Royale still makes little sense to me, though. I'm sure they could have found a way to build a queue and/or station without messing with the theatre. I understand that the shows have recently catered almost exclusively to kids, and that is a big part of the reason that the first and last time I visited it was to see Dead Man's Party. They didn't have to cater to the audience the way they did: I'm sure that they could have come up with a better show with a little more effort. Looking back, most of the shows there over the last years of the theatre's existence were recycled from year to year. That doesn't make it any less of a blow, however. I hope that they intend to compensate for this by providing some new theatres in the next couple of years or re-using older theatres like Wilderness Theatre (though I suppose the positioning of Camp Cartoon Network probably makes this impractical). The back of the park especially has no theatres and I think that this is something that needs to be addressed. But the current rumor about the showing of award shows or whatever in the Grand Music Hall is something I find to be especially disturbing. People aren't going to pay $55.00 to see a rerun of a show that they could have seen at home for free, and if they do, then they are missing the point of the park.

And the Foods division really DOES need an overhaul, both in the quality of the food and in the service, which was really lacking this year (not that it was ever anywhere close to great in the past).

TK really doesn't. I know him in person, and he thinks he knows. Try to ignore him, that is what I do.

Well, not to butt in, but I already did that when you said Deja Vu wasn't going anywhere - period, end of story, and just look at how that prediction turned out.

I think it might be best to leave the prognosticating to Nostradamus. :)

All of you just get over it, its not a big deal...Anyway, its true whoever said there is no perfect park. Just like there is no perfect politician. But I do think that since this is true, every park needs something to work on...since they all are human and make mistakes...they all have room for improvement. So they should always try to improve and look at what their customers want.

I do not believe that Theatre Royale is going anywhere unless proven otherwise.

There is plenty of space to put the line queue in without getting rid of it. There is a patio like portion of the building sticking out that no one ever goes by.

Maybe Theater Royale gets so few viewers it isn't worth operating especially when Grand Music Hall has a larger Capacity. Shapiro did say he was trying to lower operating costs.

Hey look on the brightside. We can watch Bloopers. Maybe they can play one of Kelly Clarkson's, Faith Hills, or Carrie Underwoods performances.

First of all I was the first one hear to say what was to become of Royale if you search the subject save royal my name will be the first of that locked topic and the reason it is locked is because people know that I know the truth and they dont want it to get out second GMH only holds 200 more people than Royale did. Ind If the park does decide to put a show in GMH other than a movie it will only be for a month and then it will be turned into a movie theater. So I know many people question my credibility and no one wants to believe me but I was just trying to help before it was to late

/\ The fact of the matter is Theatre Royale didnt attract people to the park and a new coaster does.

Also, how do you know GMH will be a video presentation? I am willing to bet it will not be.

/\ Maybe GMH will be both and everyone might be happy! It could be something where starting just about a half hour to the next show. A video screen is lowered, a voice over the PA says, "Welcome to the Grand Music Hall at Six Flags Great America!" A brief SFGAm commercial/coaster vid/park hi-light package plays. "The following show, '____' is presented to you by Dick Clark Productions. In thanks and recognition, let us view some memorable moments and performances from DCP." Then a 30 min. video package airs showing selected Bloopers/Practical Jokes, AMA performances/acceptance speeches, and New Year's Rockin' Eve performances/ball drop moments. A brief selected Dick Clark himself saying "Thank You, and/or enjoy the show!"

Video fades, screen raises. PA Voice Guy, "And now your feature presentation, '___', sit back and enjoy!"

Kyle
Push down, then pull up. Exit to your left/right. And, enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags! Your friendly enthusiast Kyle.

Theater geek, I may or may not be correct. But What I was told was that the original plan was not to gut theatre royale, but the plan changed. Your topic wasn't locked because you were wrong, it was locked because at that time it was unconfirmed and you were presenting it as fact.
