From what I heard, the sale is on hold right now, but they will start the removal in the spring.

^Maybe, either second thoughts or they are waiting 'til the deal goes through for the new buyer and all their financials check out.
Push down, then pull up. Exit to your left/right. And, enjoy the rest of your day at Six Flags! Your friendly enthusiast Kyle.

I was going through old topics and found this from Christmas '05. Man I already miss Vu.

Well, they are also putting up TDK...maybe they are doing one thing at a time. Plus they have to do all their usual winter stuff. It would probably be difficult to do too many things at once.

^ Well, lets see. The Dark Knight will be a short coaster, so it can't be seen from outside the park. And the park is now closed. So, I'm just going to take a wild guess and say you will not be seeing any construction photos unless SFGAm actually posts official construction photos.

^ Either that or one of our crazier members will risk getting arrested for trespassing in order to get a pointless photo of something that we’ll all be able to see soon enough anyway . . .

BDK construction should be pretty clearly visible from outside the parks boundaries. May have to go up on the grass around the fences. I dont think construction of a wild mouse will be all that impressive though.

I'd do it! :D ...jk

I do plan on getting some photos of Déjà Vu coming down from outside the park, but that shouldn't be nearly as difficult. I don't need to see TDK's construction. I really don't care. I don't think we need that coaster anyway.

^And why would that be? I'd rather see a small highly themed dark ride than a clone of some crappy B&M or Vekoma with a 16 second layout. Not that I dislike B&M or Vekoma, but that's what we would be getting if SFGAm was going to get a larger scale coaster right now.

Which is a rumor still, and if it's true considering the only way it'll work is using both splash and vu's spot, it would probably have to be custom.

I personally don't think we needed another coaster for next season, no matter if it is big or small scale. I was happy with what we had. I don't need a new coaster every few years. We had a nice variety and now one of them is gone and we don't have anything really to replace it. TDK can't. We didn't have to have all the changes we are having...Yeah, you can't keep everything the same year after year...I know that...but I didn't think we needed one coaster gone and the addition of another this year. Even before I knew Vu was leaving, I still didn't care if we got TDK or not. When I saw the signs, I just shrugged. Like ok, whatever.
