dejavu miscatch video

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Here is a video of the last ever miscatch around 7:30. The miscatch was on tower 1 and when we walked up to it it was sitting in the brakes.

Then I filmed it valleying back and forth until it stopped.

I also have a V2 E-Stop video here

Thanks for posting those videos! I love seeing when rides malfunction - as long as it doesn't interfere with my wait times.

I like the V2 one. I actually was on V2 this year when it was E-Stopped.

I got a miscatch on Deja Vu earlier this year. All the people on the train were freaking out and I was having a blast. When the train finally stopped in the station a mechanic asked me if I was okay. I told him I've been waiting for a miscatch since Deja Vu opened and that it was fun. He gave me a strange look and then pushed the train back a few inches.

I was in line for V2 a few years ago when there was an E-Stop because someone stuck there arm out towards the train when it launched. The ride operator in the booth said it stopped because a sensor detected his arm. I've been on V2 twice when it stopped during the launch but I don't know if they were E-Stops or not.

Ahahah. I'll never forget that miscatch I had in the summer. I took pics while we were just sitting there.

Do you clips of the miscatch and estop taking place right when it occurs?

The V2 E-Stop was about 3-5 mins after the stop.

And the dejavu one was filmed about 5 mins after I saw it. We were about to get in line for Raging Bull when I looked at dejavu, it went up then down. I was like, "holy sh*t lets run over there". So we were able to run there pretty fast, then when we got there we waited about 2 mins for it to release.

I do too, as long as no one gets hurt.

Thanks for posting the videos, it's nice to see our 2001 coasters acting fussy again! It's too bad i've never had a miscatch, i've only got a mispark on Vu. :?

I just found this video on YouTube: http://youtube.com/watch?v=uzM8Pnq_cLI

It appears as though the train had a miscatch or vallied in between the second tower and the vertical loop.

^Sorry about that. I believe that the URL should be working properly now. Here are some other videos that I found of broken/malfunctioning rides:

http://youtube.com/watch?v=1W_SC7fiS00

http://youtube.com/watch?v=QOfcQEDiXRM

The first ride appears to be some type of roller coaster where each row is an individual train (similar to RC). The second video is of a broken ride on SUF where the train got stuck on the chain lift.

That first video you posted coasterkid is great, that is hilarious to see that kid slamming into that guy's car and getting him mad. Good laughs.

This video makes me think of all the fun times of laughing at Vu that I will be missing :( It was always so funny (in a good way, of course) to laugh at Déjà Vu for getting messed up all the time. But that comedy will always continue, even though he aint at sfgam no more.

^Maybe, but not as much as Vu because its only a mouse. Vu was funny because it was like "hmmm, is Vu open....I think I see it testing". Then you walk over there and everyone is lined up. So you watch then theres a miscatch
