Has anyone noticed that some of the coasters removed from GAm are blue? Shockwave, Z-Force, Tidalwave, and now Deja Vu, which has some blue on it. Maybe it's a curse...
^ I did notice that.....does anyone have a feeling Eagle is gonna go soon cause it's blue....I just did. I know it's not gonna happen so don't yell at me about but im just saying after Vu goes Eagle blue is the only coaster in the park that's blue.
So was that post about the Theater Royale true as well?!
As for Deja Vu, i was pissed at it the first three years of it's life. Then i rode it, and immediately put it at third favorite in the park and by last year, it was my 6th favorite ride in the park. It had initially placed in my top 10 steel coasters of all time list, but as of this year, was no longer in it. First ride was INSANE, definitely the scariest coaster in the park without question. It's too bad it's leaving. It was one of the few rides that i was torn whether front or back was the best row (Viper is the only one i debate about as well). Still, it was a broken down mess most of the time, most of the GP didn't like the fact that it was either always broken or always crowded. It belongs in a park with smaller crowds and less coasters, that way maintaince can spend EXTRA time fixing the ride and when the crowds are there, they aren't waiting too long.
Overall it'll be missed. I posted some new pictures i did in photoshop from this summer....let that be my privelege to the first coaster i've liked to ever get demolished!
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
why?! I went 25times this season and it did so well this year. especially on saturday. WTF No!
I dont care what anyone says, it was so good. Im P**sed. I feel sick im so mad....
maybe we can turn this around like whizzer..........? psh.
According to comments Sunday night during the last rides, this Deja Vu and the one at SFoG have both been sold. I doubt anything will change with that.
FWIW, SFGAm management didn't want the ride removed, the decision came from higher up in corporate management. A couple of the maintenance guys I talked with were pretty upset too. They've put a lot of time into making Vu run better over the years and seemed pretty proud of the improvement in operation over the past couple seasons.

The miscatch will be missed! Strange enough, a few weeks ago, a couple of us got a miscatch on tower 1 and got exit passes for that horrific event. We decided to wait until closing day to use them on Vu. So, about 7:30pm rolls around, and we use them to ride the Vu..and ..yes, that's right - miscatch on tower 1 again! That served two purposes - emptying out the queue (down to a 15 min wait about) and also resulted in, you guessed it, another exit pass. So, we waited in line for 15 mins then got right back on w/ the exit passes, but alas, a 3rd miscatch was not in our future. That last miscatch was the last one ever on the ride @ SFGAm.
So overall, w/out waiting for the ride more than 30 mins I think, most in our group ended up with 10 to 13 or so rides on Vu closing day thanks to Vu opening at 10am (thanks maintenance ) and the late arriving Sunday morning church crowd. It was a fun day, but also a bittersweet day as Vu was my favorite ride at the park.
(btw, that sign that was hanging at the control panel on closing day was pretty cool..so kudos must go out to whoever made it (and to the brave soul who put it up)
That gets me very, very sad and angry. Deja Vu is one ride that I have never ever been on before. When I get my first season pass next year, my first thing that I wanted to do on opening day was head right on over to 'Vu.
Now that Deja Vu is going to be demolished, what are they going to put there? Is that where they are going to put the Dark Night coaster?

Nope... The Dark Knight is going by superman! We will just have A LOT of open space from Deja Vu to SWF. I dont really know if I see those cars that drive around SWF staying much longer either.. But who knows!
Umm... If you like Thomas the train go for it! WOOT WOOT.. Hear that whistle? Round up em' youngins.
You keep thinking that
http://themeparkcritic.com/scripts/profile/ViewProfile.asp?ViewID=2909 A furious storm once roared `cross the sea, catching ships in its path, helpless to flee. Instead of a certain and watery doom, the winds swept them here to Typhoon Lagoon!
I know that we are not going to be getting a Thomas section as of YET. Seriously people, it's only 2007! Nothing big will go there until 2009 if anything big goes there! I don't understand how you can already assume that it's going to be another coaster. They do not need to put one there. And think about our topic the other day; Coasters that got canceled.. One being Mr. Freeze
Nobody knows any concrete information as of yet and they probably wont unless they are part of the top dawgs of sfgaM.
Can we PLEASE keep the new for 2009 coaster rumor quiet for the first couple months of the offseason? Its going to get obnoxious, I can already picture what most people will say.

Oh, and supposedly Deja Vu in SFOG has begun demolition (i didn't hear this from a reliable source though) and it got me wondering, does anyone know when the demolision process well begin?!

I will never get used to that.
No wonder it looked weird to me. I don't think I'll ever get used to it either. Ugh, Vu was such an amazing ride. I'll just have to go to other parks to ride it I guess.
FYI, Deja Vu is no longer on the ride list on the website.
This was the first year in my entire life I have never been to Six Flags and I already feel that its gone in a wrong turn. Frist theatre Royal and now De Ja Vu. I can understand that keeping De Ja Vu will lose more money for having to keep on fixign it but seriously do they have to take down Theatre Royal? Cant they build the Dark Knight coaster over where DeJaVu is located? That makes much resonable sense here dont you guys think? Unless there going to leave a blank vacant lot next season and have a new kids area there.
No matter how hard it is...Never EVER give up. The real failure is those who dont try.
Rumor has it Demolition starts in 2 weeks on DV. Also noticed DV has been removed from the website, though splashwater falls is still listed in some places.
I think Dark Knight is going into a perfect location due to the proximity to houses there, the park cant build a whole lot there, Indoor Coaster with no noise works best there, and leaves the more central DV location in the park free for future expansion.

Ok, now I can say it. All of the following rides will be removed and they have already been removed from the website. Deja Vu, Splashwater Falls and Space Shuttle America. Along with the departure of Theater Royale.
