So, is Predator all that IW gets for FF?

"The Predator" has tons of green lights around its station and fog along the walkway to the stairs leading to its Station.

Predator sounds also play out of the speakers throughout the line.

Better than just a "Iron Werewolf" sign.

I only go to Great America once a year, and I have not yet been on Iron Wolf. It was right before the park closed, and it was either that or a second ride on V2.
Next season I'm hoping to get a season pass. Then I'll never have to worry about what rides I've been on again.

When I went yesterday, Iron Wolf's line was completely full and spilling out into the midway. I must not get out much, but I've never seen it this way. Is it that way a lot during FF?

I also noticed that on the ridership board thing, that for the season total it said a gazillion. Just thought I'd point that out.

All of the lines are awful during Fright Fest.

Eagles line was full, Bulls was two queue houses and out, Viper was past the bridge. Lines are always bad this time of year, especially on a Saturday.

That would have been the day to go I guess...

This is about Saturday.
SFGAm07 wrote:It was packed, but not that packed, the attendance was around 35,000 total. Very crowded, but seen worse, especially on Saturdays during FF.

I think that's packed. Is 35,000 not that packed?

What kind of an argument is this? Packed or PACKED? lol. Well I say PACKED = last Saturday! I have never seen Bull's line out to Viper, Wolf's and Demon's line full and certainly never V2's line out into the midway!

Anyway, I don't like "Predator" for Wolf's FF name. That name could be given to any coaster! I liked Iron Werewolf(sp)! It sounds more Halloween-like and is close to the real name of the coaster.

forgot to mention, as I dont feel like writing a trip report for last fri, but I rode IW cause i was at the park with a friend who goes once a year and wanted to ride everything, and IW was relatively smooth. Was much better than earlier in the year, though it seems to happen every year, not sure what they do to it between the regular season and Fright Fest, or maybe its just the cold weather making it run slower and that tones down the headbanging, but ride it while you can while it's tolerable.

(I'm not responsible for any crappy rides anyone gets on it, but train I was on was pretty smooth) :)

IW's certainly rougher than it was last year. I haven't had a smooth ride on it all season, to be honest. But I still love Wolf no matter what. Rough coasters don't bother me.

There was a Saturday last year when the entrance sign said
"Park very full, please come back another day" That day was packed. Whoops that was '05 actually.

Word of advice, train one is the smoother train by far. I have had some very good rides this year on it and I still think that ride is a good coaster. Just try to set yourself up on train 1.
