The end of 2007 in nearing...

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

How do you think this whole season went overall? What were some things that improved overtime, and what should be improved for '08?
I think this season was more on the good side this year. It's almost like the seasons before with the shortages of ops, but on regular summer days, everything is actually open. I do see that six flags is trying to bring the families and everything by making Great America a family-friendly environment, but I think tthay can do better by getting rid of most of the ads, which mostly come from one company...

I also think that the park has been very clean this year and i notice there are a lot of people picking up the litter. The employees are very friendly and everything and really outgoing (except for the people in suits that tell you to stop running when your not).

I hope that for next year SF will continue to keep the park clean and keep ride operations high, along with the superior guest safety. I also would like to see some new attractions such as some great shows, like last year, and maybe some thrill ride that's fun but not too expensive. Most of all, I would like to see the guests all over the park having a great and enjoyable time!

Well, i didn't go too often this year, but when i WAS there, i thought the park was running in great shape! I also thought that Wiggles World was quite a good kid's section, despite my hatred for the show! So overall, for a year geared towards the young, i didn't think it went so bad.

I had a good year overall at GAm. I visited only 4 times (due to how far away I live) and plan to visit twice during FF. All the ride operations were good, and the employees nice. It's sad to see the season come to an end, but I know that next year will be just as good if not better with the new coaster we are getting. Kudos to GAm for a great year!!!

I think during the days that I went this summer it was really good. The weather wasn't too bad and it was a great summer. I have a good feeling FF will be good too...I can't wait.

AAAAAARRRRRRRRGGGGGH!!

That poisionous show-off lizard is the last thing I want to support. Beginning this year, you can see his advertisements around every corner.

GET HIM AWAY!!!!!!!

You are blunt. You like to end sentences with periods and no other emotions. I love it. I agree, Wiggles World sucks.

And why do the 3 of you think Wiggles World sucks?

Because it's not geared toward the thrillride audience?

Selfish.

I think the park service went down over the year, it started off great but then it just turned into crap. I stopped going after September, so I hope they have been working on their service that month.

I think it was a typical year for SFGAM, no better or worse than any other year.
I thought the park had more rides than normal that werent operating due to techincal or staffing issues.
I thought the addition of Wiggles World was very good!!! My kids are too old, but when i was in the area it seemed busy and that people were really enjoying themselves!!
I thought the new stunt show wasnt good at all. And all the in-park advertising ruined alot of the attempts they do at theming, and do I really needed to see the geico ad staring at me when im in the bathroom stall??
I thought the ride-ops did a very good job this year and kept the rides running smoothly, sadly I didnt find the same effort in the food stands where service was slow.

All in all it was a decent year!!

You hate Wiggle World? Is it geared toward you? It adds something else for small children to do, and is a great addition to the park.

I'll agree with Bob O on the food service. Lines do tend to be long, and more often than not, the employee is taking their sweet time.

Now that John Curty (the old Director of Park Operations) is GM I would expect to see some better performance from the foods service, I agree it definitley needs some improvement.

It's about time, hopefully he will get on the slacking employee's asses and get this park back into 2005 form rides-wise. Also, the food was awful, we waited about 30 minutes for food at Aunt Martha's when the line was fairly short, should have taken no more than 10 minutes.
