^ There is no proof what-so-ever that they are getting rid of SWF. If it wasn't brought up that it's time will end soon, I'm sure we wouldn't even be asking if it was closing. If, last year, this same rumor came to be, it would be exacty like this topic, but last year no one "thought" of this rumor. IJstt because it's closed doesn't mean its going to be removed. Take STT for example, it was closed for most of the season last year, but it didn't get removed.
If I were a Vu lover, I would error on the side of caution and get my rides on it now in the event of its removal. That way, if it does get removed, you won't regret missing out on some nice "final rides" on the coaster. I hope to take my own advice and get some final( ) rides on it soon (if it's open during my next visit!).
Well I had a cool thing happen to me on Vu. I have been on the ride over 100 times and this has never happened to me before. We were in line and the train was going up the back spike and then we heard the cable stop but the train didn't come down. The OPs looked at each other and one laughed and one had a shocked face. Then after about 3-4 seconds the train came down.
Then it was out turn to ride. I was in the very back in row B. We lifted up all the way to the top and then *stop* and silence. We hung there for about 5 seconds and then all of a sudden the ride dropped. It was so cool to experience and was completely surprising. And just begin in the last row B was cool. The rest of the ride was normal as usual and nothing else happened. But during that time the engineer was there because something happened to the catch car about 10 mins prior. SO I don't know if the engineers had anything to do with it but is was so cool to ride.
The ride only did that twice and then went back to normal. So has anyone else experienced this?

I had the same experience, except I was help up for a little more than 5 secs... more like 15 min!
with this DV stuff, I think the ride is to complicated, I think it would operate 1000x better if they downgraded to relay logic over PLC's, but I'm pretty trashed at this moment, so what do I know.
I believe that mainly just cause it misparks so often, in relay logic as soon as the train crosses the proxy power would be cut to the motor and it's stop dead, though I think me knowing that after 3 pitchers of beer is pretty sad
Relay logic may be dated (like really dated) but exept for mechanical failure it's pretty close to 100% reliable, all this with dual PLC's in the name of safety is a real crock of ....

I was just there and rode it twice. It was running great all day, with only a couple minor breakdowns. However, i rode my last rides in front row and back row (getting first dispatch of the day in front row) so i'm prepared if it goes.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter
Usually everyone likes 1A the best but I don't find anything special about it. I like the back in B a lot more because of the first tower. When I rode in 1A last week I was sort of bored and I wasn't really thrilled. But when I rode in the back, I had adrenaline and the ride was so fun. So I don't know if it was because of my circuit count or what but I wasn't thrilled like I usually was.
What a waste! Spend all that money on a coaster, just to get rid of it in such a short period of time? There are so many dumb descisions that upper management makes at that place, that it wouldn't surprise me if Deja Vu would get taken down. If they do decide to take it down, I'm hoping that they will replace it with something that will be worth it.
The universal spiel.
