Not Being Able to Visit

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.
Postby rctfan1556 on September 7th, 2007, 10:29 pm
1st post in awhile...

I haven't been able to go to Six Flags since about end of '05 because of not having the money and no job to get said money. Anyone else here in the same boat? I'm gonna try to somehow get some money my dad owes me and go at least once before this season ends and I head off to college in Shaumburg.

Sucks not visiting Six Flags for sooooo long. I NEED MY COASTER FIX! :(
This is where I would usually put stuff. Can't think of anything right now... =/

I suggest you go now because I think that for hte most part, it has been a great season. Find a friend that might have a season pass and they might give you a free ticket from there coupon book to go with them(that's what I do with my friends). You won't see that much difference from 2005 because all there is, is the new Wiggles World and a few new shows and, of course, the tornado at HH, but it's too late to go on that!Have fun in schaumburg! (I go to school there)

I am sort of in the same position, but its because I live 1.5 hours away and my car broke and had to get a new transmission because I drove it down there too much. And now, I can only go like twice a month. For me, it is not enough because once I get my pass, I have a need to come back almost every week...but it just wont happen.

Thats why I am going to move out and find a place in Milwaukee so I can commute down there and possibly get a job next season. Because from Milwaukee it is only about 30-40 mins away.

In a way me and my boyfriend are in that same kind of situation, neither of us have jobs (he quit in May) and we've had to ask for some money every time we'd go. The other day we ended up not having enough for all the tolls on the way back home. We've been able to go, just maybe not as much as I'd like, which would be more than 15 times a year.

I live 40 minutes (pending on traffic) and this summer I had to do chores around the house in order to get money..I couldn't find a job and i looked everywhere. So I only got to go 10 this summer....not even close to my record last year of 19...plus add 2 for FF this year so a grand total of 12 for this season. Oh well at least I got to go.

It's worse when you are in college.

In my case, my college is a 3 hour drive to the park, and over the summer, work and summer classes get in the way. I haven't been to Fright Fest since 04, and this is the first year in about 10 years I haven't been to the park. It doesn't help that all my friends are in the same position as me, and it makes it that much more difficult.

It does suck.

My college is 8 hours away and I asked my parents if I could come home for Fright Fest twice again this year and they said yes but I don't know how much longer I'm gonna be able to do that because this year was really expensive for me to come home twice just for fall break/Fright Fest.

I'm sorta in the same boat. While I've been there since '05, I only get to go once a year since I live almost 3 hours away, and I have no one to take me.
