Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

Does anyone know if Thurs 08/30/07 and Fri 08/31/07 are buy out dates???
I was on the official SFGAM web site and the park is closed both dates though it is open Wed 08/29/07 and Sat 09/01/07, so im guessing they wouldnt close the park on a Friday of a holiday weekend.

I would think it would be very unusual to have a buy-out on a Thursday or Friday at this time of year unless it's something school related.

My guess is that they decided to shave a couple days off weekday operations before they go to weekends only due to staffing and to save some $$. Lots of late season cutbacks happening right now. This may be part of that as well.

I could see the Thurs closing, though I dont know why Wed. would be much busier.

But I find the Friday closing to be more suprising since it is a holiday weekend and more families would be having one last outing before scholl starts for most public school students in Wsic./Ill.
