Is splashwater Falls being removed??

Talk about anything that has to do with Six Flags Great America and Hurricane Harbor here.

....the future maybe nearer than you think..... but, as I said, we can only wait and see because rumors can really mislead!

Very true. Screamscape is often misleading. I do hhope the future is nearer then i think. How much debt do you think six flags will be in after this year??

No one can say, I just hope they will start toward the path of getting out of it after this year.

Plain and simple, whatever SFI decides to do, it will not put them that much further in debt and will only put something in that will help them get out of that debt. Whether it be Vu or SWF getting removed, it will all be up to corporate, not what the park itself wants.

Maybe it is, or maybe it's some kind of 4D ride or something on the lines of that. I'm just a curious guesser, but I'm sure we will figure out something soon!

Can anyone say tumbleweed?

This happens every year, somebody on here (or somebodies) start rumors on this site about the a new attraction, then they send the exact same facts into screamscape and lots of people start believing it.

Then we get Mardi Gras.

Rumors start and you get excited, and then you found out its not true.

Outta curiousity, what kinda coaster do you think they'll put in if they ever do.

^ That's the way the rumors circle! We crave information so badly that we just take in whatever we hear. That's how rumors work.

generally believable rumors are those that dont involve the 4-d or the Intamin super huge mega giga big thing or whatnot, of course all rumors should be taken with a grain of salt til backed up with a press release.

Press released are the only official way of knowing so nothing is confirmed yet. We dont even really know if swf is being taken down for sure.

I'm sure we can figure something more than a rumor before the official press release.

more than a rumor = confirmation
confirmation = press release or parts & pieces on site.

of course if they start tearing a ride out then that would be as good as an official announcement that said ride is leaving.

Yeah, Until we see somebody tearing it down or an official press release on it, all it comes down to is speculation and rumor. I for one, dont want to see it go, but if they decide to take it out, theres not a lot we can do. and while they do have hurricane harbor, its really a different sort of thing.

I like the water rides cause you can get wait without being in a swim suit. A swim suit takes the fun outta everything. this ride just goes up and down, but it soaks you and the bridge, making it a lot of fun.

Ifthey start tearing it down than thats when we know for sure were getting somwthing new. Any idea what could fit there so they dont mess with the cars? A lot of people think thomas and some think a ferris wheel.

Though this is most likely not true, I think that this is more believeable than Vu getting taken out. I don't think they would want to lose a coaster in their coaster count, and it's still popular...

Vu is popular and it keeps ths coaster count up. But the problem with it is that it is down a lot.

If they tear vu down, I think they'd definately put in a coaster but I doubt they'd do that because it's still a very popular ride and isn't down so much lately. If they were going to tear down a coaster, it'd be Iron Wolf or possibly Demon. because of how low the lines are all the time.

Demon is the perfect family coaster so it won't be leaving. However, Iron Wolf seems to be in the same category as Psyclone at Magic Mountain where most aren't fans (yes, i know some of you like it a lot, i'm just talkin majority) and it's not the experience they want Six Flags to give. And we all know what happened to Psyclone...

As for Splashwater Falls, it's not too popular and with Hurricane Harbor, not too necessary. We'll see what happens to it.
RIP: Trailblazer and Deja Vu...heck, even Alien Encounter :(
